In September 1966, ASI Building Products came into existence through the efforts of William S. Ellis, Jr.. We stand as one of the oldest and most prominent distributors of specialty building products in the Southeast.

W.S. (Bill) Ellis served as Product Manager at the Aluminum Company of America (Alcoa) for nearly two decades. In his role leading Alcoa's Residential Building Products Division, he played a key part in creating many products that are still available from Alcoa today.

In 1978, Mike Patierno assumed the position of President and CEO of ASI Building Products; our second branch was launched in Orlando. Throughout the 1980s, five additional branches were established.

Mr. Michael Patierno is the Owner and CEO of ASI. Mike started his career at ASI in 1970. He began in the warehouse and climbed the ranks to eventually lead ASI.

Mike is a proactive owner. He is passionate about building products and genuinely cares about the success of the industry as a whole.
