This company is not reputable. My experience with them is a nightmare. I bought a house and my realtor used them for a quote for a new roof so that i could get A wp8 certificate for windstorm insurance. I purchased the house and had my roofing company and engineer install a complete new roof on the house, Sept 4th.
The next day I had to travel to Florida to prep my house for hurricane Irma. On September 7th I received a phone call from my realtor that the title company sent a check to Arts Roofing for there quote. I told her that i already had a new roof installed. I expressed to her that Arts roofing needs to return the check and have the title company issue one to J N Tiger Construction for the new roof they put on.
Upon my return to Houston on Sept 8th I was in shock when my realtor told me that Arts roofing Company went onto my property without any permission from me nor my realtor. ( there is no mortgage company) They tore my brand new roof of completely and put another one on again. They changed my flashing color. They added ridge vents to a house that already has thermostatically controlled vents. You do not put 2 different types of venting on a house.They put Gas vent covers where there is suppose to be roof jacks.( probably because thats all they had. no one does that, they put lead roof jacks. ( there was brand new ones already there only 2 days old.). I now have nails coming thru my tongue and grove ceiling on the porch where there was none before. When I called Mitch with arts roofing to schedule a time to meet me at the house to discuss and view these issues and answer some other questions that I have, he spouted out there's a hurricane and I have 150 roofs to do. When I stated to him that he had plenty of time to come onto my property and remove my new roof he quickly got very rude and spouted off he doesn't have time to deal with this. I have been texting him ever since with no call back or a time to look at the damage done to my home. no response!!!
This company was never hired to install the roof. There was never a phone call or email sent. No communication whatsoever to come and install the roof. The Title company had sent them a check in error. Arts Roofing company took the check and cashed it immediately and proceeded to trespass, with out calling ,notifying , asking maybe what color shingles to install. They made no attempt to contact anyone at all to schedule any work. There only concern was to cash the check.I can understand being busy that is why you make an appointment to review the customers concerns, a time that works for all parties .

We had Ted come out to check on an issue found during an inspection, he found some areas that were not correct. Previous work was done else where but he fixed it anyway, at no charge! Now the new owners can move in with no issues at all. Thanks a million, truly service minded.

Untrustworthy un accredited not worth your time any contractor can do work but the ones who stand by it are the ones you need not arts roofing. The owner is asshole. Thinks because of a repair he made in a roof he installed is not warranted because he is hiding behind a clause in his paperwork

Art's Roofing just put a new roof on my house and it looks fantastic! The quality of work was excellent and they delivered the materials and did the work as promised! I got home last night after work to look at the finished product and had 2 neighbors waiting in my driveway way to ask me about them because they did such outstanding work! Special thanks to Ted Thorne for always answering my calls and getting this job done in such a timely manner!

A couple of weeks ago, I noticed a wet spot on my ceiling after a severe wind/rain storm came through the Clear Lake area. I called Art who installed my roof about six years ago after Hurricane Ike. He responded promptly with one of his workers and repaired the roof leak AT NO CHARGE to me. Can't beat customer service like this, particularly since the leak was due to loose siding on my fireplace vent stack. I highly recommend this company for quality work and excellent customer service.

Our roof started leaking,we called the local Clear Lake company we had used for stuff in the past (painting, pressure washing, etc) they told us that they were extremely busy and because they hadn't done our roof, they wouldn't be able to get us on the schedule for at least a couple of months and didn't have any recommendations on anyone else who might be able to help us. I called Arts, they were out within a matter of hours to do an initial assessment and came back to fix the problem a few days later before any more rain/damage. We are so appreciative!! I know who we'll call next time we need help and dang are they fast too!

I was a little skeptical once speaking w/ Art's Roofing but decided to go w/ them anyway. They tacked on extra charges and promised we would get reimbursed and come to find out it was a big ol lie. When we get a call from TWIA, they told me they knew we wouldn't get reimbursed for some charges and also they are questioning his extra sq. footage charges. True with that one review, he treats you great then when you get paid, get treated horribly. I really wish we went with another roofing company.
