After a great deal of research and numerous bids I chose Amstrong to install a new foam insulation roof on my San Francisco home. They have great customer service and came to the house within a few days of my initial call. From beginning to end they were courteous, professional, detail oriented and wonderful to work with. The roof is guaranteed not to leak for 20 years and looks really nice. When they spray the foam on they can eliminate all the pockets and dents. The house is also a lot warmer and quieter. The environmental aspects of the product were also important to me and Amstrong provided me with lots of good information. I would highly recommend Amstrong as the group to be trusted with your new roof.

I called them for an estimate, they would send someone out. Well, the guy they sent out - Andy - called me and immediately told me that they paint places of high-profile people, they're very busy. I told him it felt like he was trying to back out of doing this estimate, and if he doesn't want to give me an estimate, I'll call someone else. He backed off and came later that day. He kept saying how expensive they were, and panning other painting companies, that they use over-the-counter paints, whereas Armstrong makes their own paints, etc. I kept asking him if he would just give me the estimate but he wouldn't shut up about how expensive they were, maybe they were too expensive for us, and continued to pan other painting companies which I thought was very unprofessional. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

After posting a negative review of my experience with Armstrong, the President of the Company emailed me with an apology, an offer to resolve the issue and perform any future inspections free of charge.

I would advise anyone with an ongoing issue to contact the President of Armstrong, Mr. Mitch Fine, and let him get the right resources in place to resolve the issue. He seems to be concerned with the quality of both their service, and their customer service.

Last year I decided to have my front windows replaced. A neighbour had used Armstrong and was very happy so when a sales guy came to the door I decided to go ahead. They were very professional, I was concerned as I'd just had my house painted but they did a great job. They completed the job in a day. I got a tax rebate for being energy efficient and I definitely notice a difference in the temperature of the house. I didn't need to use the heater much at all last winter. It's also quieter.
I can also open the windows now which I couldn't before so I can get a nice breeze if needed.

My company used Armstrong to paint our copmmercial offices in San Francisco, and they did not disapppoint! It is always nice to know you are working with an established family business that has served the same community for decades on end. It is easy to see why they've maintained such longevity- Armstrong is a business that prides itself on quality and delivering the best long-term results for its customers. I would recommend that anyone use Armstrong for a job well-done!

The stucco on the side of our house was unsightly and in poor condition. We hired Armstrong. They came out and did a thorough job in prepping, detailing and finishing the job. The hard working painter (I don't remember his name) kept us well informed and answered all our questions. All and all, Armstrong provided great customer service, from the painter, the service manager and the back office. Armstrong's price is on the high side but you truly get what you pay for. The house looks great with the quality finish and will continue to look great for years to come.

Stay away at all costs. This ""famous"" roof installer pulled a classic bait and switch. They had their estimator come out to our home to inspect roof and prepare an estimate. Their first estimate came in at what seemed a reasonable price, but then they followed up with a second version, much later, that was 50% higher!
They contended that they could not give the full, final price until they started the work. While I understand small adjustments need to be made based on what a contractor may find once a job has begun, this was either blatant bait and switch or poor running of a company. Either is not acceptable. Such a significant change in price is shocking, particularly where there was NOT a significant change in what had to be done to the roof. The owners were arrogant and not at all interested in honoring their quote. VERY disappointed. Stay away at all costs!

I had some of my windows replaced (doing it in phases) and I thought these guys did a fantastic job. The guys who did the installation were very nice, professional and they finished exactly when then said they would. As soon as I am ready to do the remaining windows, i will call them back. The prices were fair and again, they were very professional. Armstrong rocks!
