I contracted Rusty because I knew him for a while and I knew he was doing roofs. He told me he was licensed bonded and insured. It's his family members business and so I made the mistake of hiring him to do a job for a good friend of mine.
Rusty and his crew did the demo first which was fine. He didn't demo the old wood planks that he agreed to replace with new plywood. He only made repairs to the existing wood planks.
When we noticed it it was a bit late be cause he rushed into installing the underlayment. So we squashed that. Then he installed the roof shingles ALL WRONG. He butchers the installation of the eves with crazy insane ugly cuts that were visible from the street. When told the job was not looking up to par he NEVER came back. Took $7,000 in cash and blocked us on his phone. His brother and another worker came by the next day to collect their tools and truck they had left behind. My friend the home owner ended up in a high speed chase with them. The police showed up but Rusty and his crew had already left. DO NOT HIRE APEX ROOFING SOLUTIONS!! The license number is fake, their social presence is fake. You can't find these guys or the company in the state license contractors board. They just disappeared with his $7k...
