My roof was in trouble after hurricane Zeta. I called several roofers for quotes. American Men Roofing was not the cheapest quote, but it was the one I trusted the most knowing that my last roofer did a bad job.
Craig worked his way through the problems my roof had, repaired all of the bad places then installed really good shingles.
After Hurrican Ida, I had a section of ridge shingles work loose. Craig's team came out and repair the damage at no charge.
Pricing is fair. Work is outstanding. Highly recommended!

Craig came out, gave me a bid on my leaking sunroof. Right on par with others, maybe even a cheaper. He did the work and a few items that came up in our home inspection when we bought the home months prior. One Roofer tried to tell me we needed a new roof in the process. The only one of 4 quotes, so I knew that was false. We suddenly had to sell. Buyer's inspector found some items he thought needed repair. Craig came out again and took care of it for a low cost, he had empathy for the fact that we had to turn around and sell a home we just bought. He was prompt and didn't try to fluff the costs. He cleaned up so well you wouldn't even know he was there! Highly recommend him.

I dread having to find someone to work on the house b/c it seems like maybe the job gets done right only about half the time. But we had a roof leak. Our roof is only about 5 years old, but apparently the guys we had do the roof after the hail storm were not real roofers and there were problems with the roof.
We called 5 different roofing companies, based on on-line reviews. Only 3 replied, and one was a no-show, so that narrowed it down quite a bit for us.
Craig, the owner, called me back and scheduled an appt., which he kept. He got up on the roof, and without me having to tell him where the leak was, he knew. Then he went into the attic to get a good idea of what was going on. He gave us a verbal estimate, and then e-mailed a detailed estimate, along with his insurance info. We could see that he was very experienced and knowledgeable.
The roofers arrived on-time and everything went exactly as Craig said it would. He also was here for part of the job, which I really liked. We only paid after the work was done and we were satisfied. American Men Roofing was not the cheapest, but we are so pleased with their work. We had a few different things that needed to be done, and his original estimate included all of these things and there were no ""new"" issues. He did not try to low-ball us and then do a bait-and-switch deal, which seems pretty common. If only all of our house repairs went so smoothly.

This guy installed a metal diverter on my roof, or should I say improperly installed a diverter on my roof. The roof leaked causing hundreds of dollars of damage. I had three roofers come to give bids for repairs and every one of them told me that the prior roofer improperly installed the diverter. When I went back to him to attempt to get a refund on his shoddy installation through the BBB, he claimed that I was trying to extort him. I wasn't trying to extort him. I was trying to just get my money back.

Furthermore, he threatened to sue me because I was defaming his character. What a guy. Instead of owning up and fixing the problem, he further complicates the problem by threatening to sue me.

Run from this horrible business and find another reputable roofing businesses.

I managed to put this project off since Hurricane Isaac, because I dread dealing with the roofing/insurance process and have not had positive experiences with contractors in general...EVER.

I called Craig from American Men Roofing to estimate the cost to replace the upper rear roof of my home in it's entirety, as well as the 10 inch metal fascia on both sides of my home damaged during Isaac.

Craig was at my home on time the next morning. I felt the price Craig quoted was extremely fair. My home is just over 5,000 square feet, so the area that needed replacement was quite large.

I appreciate that Craig doesn't use subcontractors. Craig and his employees were prompt, courteous and efficient.

Craig promised me it would be hassle-free...It actually was.

This was the best experience I've had with a contractor by a country mile.

Craig did what he promised, when he promised, and did a meticulously beautiful job. I will definitely use them again, and would not hesitate to recommend American Men Roofing to anyone looking for quality roof work at a fair price.
