Dave and his crew did a fantastic job. The price was right, they were always professional and great to deal with, and our new roof is beautiful!
If you want to argue with the workers and make them redo their lousy work, which still does not turns out as expected, go ahead and hire this company. Also, don't expect that they will follow-up on their promises and reply to your messages.
Dave and the team at American Eagle Roofing are wonderful! As the president of an HOA I took on the huge task of getting bids to re-roof our condo building. When we compared our 3 bids side by side and realized all were for the same scope of work Dave's bid came in at the lowest (by a solid $10k-$15k). We based on our final decision not only on price but also Dave's responsiveness, the fact that he's local to San Mateo County and his teams ability to get the job done in a timely manner. Here we are 5 days later and the building has a solid new roof! I would not hesitate to recommend Dave and his team. Thank you Dave and crew for helping make this overwhelming & scary project not so bad.
jun a.I was not going to procure American Eagle Roofing's services since they are situated quite a ways from Daly City. However a friend of ours HIGHLY recommended them and so I did and was I glad I did so. Not only was Dave's bid the lowest (by a couple of thousand), he made himself available immediately in precious time since the rain were starting and able to complete the job in two days. By the third morning he was on the roof performing his quality check. And so in 5 days time from procurement we have a new roof - WOW!
His workers were highly efficient, courteous, considerate and cleaned up the premises at the end of the day. One of the window screen was damaged during the ordeal and Dave gave us a replacement within a week. As our friend did, I highly recommend American Eagle Roofing for your next roofing needs.
Russell A.My parents recently needed their roof replaced. American Eagle Roofing was able to deliver and install a new roof and gutters for their home. American Eagle Roofing did an excellent job, and the work was done very efficiently by their own crew. Their service to their customers was also very professional and we highly recommend this business.
It was difficult to initially get on Dave's workload because he was so busy. There were delays due to weather. During the bad weather, my old roof leaked. Dave and his crew climbed on the room during the rain to temporarily stop the leak. Once weather cleared, he put 10 people on my room to completed the job in 2 1/2 days. They did a great job with the roof and new gutters. You might go a long period with limited communication with American Eagle, but once they are on the job, that are top notch. Dave was the middle of the range on the quotes, but stop line was the work. Thanks Dave!
Ray A.Dave Helgoth and his crew just finished our roof in Belmont, CA. They banged it out in three days. It looks awesome! We went with a different look than others in the neighborhood. This was not easy to find, he had to order special, he got it done. When they left, the surrounding area's were cleaner than before we started the roof.
I would recommend Dave and his team to other's.
I just had my gutter replaced. I'm vey satisfied with Dave and his team. Dave is very nice and tried to complete the job in a way that I want. The price is very reasonable I highly recommend Dave.
L M.We've used Dave to help clients of ours get a new roof or just affect some repairs. My neighbor across the street got a roof from a fly-by-night group like a bunch of nomads who rolled into town, spent a week getting the roof up and when there were problems this company was nowhere to be found.
American Eagle roofing on the other hand is fully licensed, bonded and insured. If a worker falls off of your roof--and they actually do quite often--without insurance they just might own your home.
But the coolest things about Dave is his mobile showroom. You could eat off of the floor which tells me something about his fastidiousness. The guy is a total neat freak.
He put on a roof next door to our home in three days. He called me at night to ask if there was any sign of rain while the roof was stripped off. I told him no but when I woke up he had come and out a tarp over the house anyway--said he couldn't sleep.
As other's have mentioned, he's in high demand and thus hard to get a hold of for quotes--be persistent--he's worth the wait. And he's not the cheapest either, just the best.
Don W.Two weeks after my re-roof was completed, it rained...for two days...from a light trickle to a full down pour and no leaks...whew! My first meeting with Mr. David Helgoth, of American Eagle Roofing, was relaxing and thorough. He was the 5th roofer I called after starting with neighbor/friend references and then researched Yelp. All roofer reps were friendly and informative. With Dave, his first visit included one extra thing...showing material samples of composition tile and a short section of rain gutter that he carries in his truck. He is also a good listener. His office is close to my residence which helped me feel more...""secure""...with them. That's not to say you should find someone geographically close to your residence but, that helped me. After I visited their office and met Rene' (their office manager who was very busy at the time), she took the time to be personable. Prior to the visit, I called ahead to make sure she'd be in but, she was still very busy when I arrived. During my conversation with Rene', I sensed to move forward with them and get the job scheduled. Their scheduling board was filling up while weather reports predicted unfriendly weather. I learned that after you decide on a roofer and delay getting it scheduled, you risk loosing a ""week of time"" on their schedule, especially when weather could be an issue.
Dave's contract was itemized, e-z to read, competitively priced and his team worked well together. His foreman was very e-z to talk to and informative. The only gray area was their clean-up, after the old tar/gravel tear off was completed. After they left, I picked up a few nails and small bits of tar paper off the lawn but, overall, they did a good job cleaning up. B.T.W. Dave also called me a day or more ahead, to announce the time his crew would be on the job for the various scheduled days of work. Well done gentlemen!
