At this point, the guys from American Chimney Gutters and Roofing did a good job on my chimney, that I can tell. The owners name is Rich Hyde. My issues are with his guys not calling when they were on their way because I have a dog that has to be placed in his kennel when people arrive. I asked for a call each time. It only happened once. They'd show up and ring the doorbell. The dog is barking so loud and running everywhere that it's difficult to hear the him speaking or do any business that might be necessary at the time. One time, they didn't show up at all and didn't call to say they weren't coming. I was later told by Rich that the guy in charge had overslept. It had gotten to the point that each time they arrived, he was giving me a lot of apologies, and I eventually let him know my frustration about that. The chimney looked great and I was pleased! However, the clean up was pretty poor! They completed the chimney a couple of weeks ago and I'm still finding trash around my yard, to INCLUDE cigarette butts and plastic cup tops. Even a straw that seemed to be purposely partially buried in my yard where they were working. Would I recommend this company? Yes. Rich seems to be a great guy and a great buffer between the client and his construction guys. Rich has patience and he gave me a wonderful quote. I truly appreciate him. And even though his men weren't very good at customer instruction and clean up, as far as I can see, they did a WONDERFUL job.

Avoid like the plague! Had a tree fall down and do some very minor damage to the shingles on the edge of the roof. The shingles were slightly damaged on the very edges so I had them replaced by a guy a day or two later, so no water damaged the roof at all. The roof was in fine shape. Unfortunately, the guy had used different colored shingles and I wanted them done over with shingles that matched the color of the existing ones. We're talking about maybe 10 different shingles at most. Call American CGR and they come out and give an estimate to my mother who is 85 and appears to be quite vulnerable. They hit her with a price of $6300!!!!! If you're looking for some predators, call these clowns!

Rich Hyde, owner of American Chimney, Gutter and Roofing has been responsive, timely, honest and thorough with the gutter cleaning services he and his associates have performed for my condominium community. As a board member, we appreciate having vendors that we can call for repeat business. American CGR has performed gutter cleaning services for us on 3 occasions and we have been please each time. I found these great guys online and was very happy with their service. I found them on Groupon and first called to verify that they service my area (which I advise anyone to do before purchasing any Groupon for a service in the large Atlanta metro area) and they confirmed that they did. They quickly got me scheduled for a chimey cleaning and fireplace inspection.

They called ahead of time to let me know their ETA and they showed up as scheduled. I knew I had some chimey repairs that needed to be made which they assessed and quickly repaired. The guys were very professional and even took the time to show me how to properly light my fireplace as I have just recently purchased my home and wasn't certain.

I would definitely use them again for future services.

VERY HAPPY. I found this company on the internet and I have been nothing but pleased. I wanted someone in the next day to quote the job because I was leaving town and they made an effort to reach my deadline and get to me on time.
The work is top notch and done for an affordable price. They repaired my chimney which required brick work and sealing the chimney louve, along with removing an old wood burning stove. I WILL BE HAVING THEM BACK TO DO MY ROOF. Richard Hyde quoted the job and followed through on all he promised.

I didn't receive actual service from them but I bought a groupon for a chimney inspection from this company that said ""North Metro Atlanta"" but they wouldn't come to my home in Dunwoody for the work. they wanted to charge 50$ extra because they only serve Cobb, Bartow, and Cherokee (which really is more like Northwest Georgia). I wasn't particularly mad about this but not happy either. They blamed Groupon as you can imagine. Whether they were looking to bait customers from all areas into their 50$ trip charge is debatable. Groupon did eventually refund me about 48hrs after I filed for the appeal.
