I agreed to go with this installer because of the many five star reviews. I wrongly assumed this would be an indication of the service they would provide. That decision was a huge mistake. To begin with, after taking a hefty deposit, the installers took EIGHT MONTHS to install the system. Then once the system was finally installed, the city would not approve it. They had to go back SIX times before final approval. They demanded full payment the moment the City granted approval. To which I complied and paid in full. Since then, it's been a nightmare. The system keeps exporting energy to the grid and the batteries are never fully charged. I have called numerous times. They do NOT respond. Finally I called the manfacturer for help. After troubleshooting, the manufacturer discover the system is wired incorrectly. To date, they still have not fixed the problems. My opinion.... DO NOT trust the reviews. This company hires shoddy installers and cares nothing about its customers.

After a long time doing research. I decided to hire American Array Solar. They installed 25 Panasonic solar panels and 3 - Enphase 5P batteries. Their prices were the best. From Nicholas at the forefront to Omar and his team. Simply the best! Nicholas is awesome, extremely helpful and professional through the whole process. Omar was in charge of installation. He always communicated with me every step of the way. They both always returned my calls/texts. Very professional very polite.!!
If I had to do it again I would go with American Array, Nicholas and Omar. I can't say enough!

If I could do it all over again I would have definitely gone with a different company. I chose them based on the fact that they were the cheapest. But as they say, you get what you pay for. It took 10 months so get my solar installed and up and running. They lost the project plan paperwork on two separate occasions which was supposed to be submitted to city. Ultimately they admitted to me how unprofessional it was on their end and gave me a small credit.

They did not bother to check my electrical panel to make sure if complied with local inspection so when the time came to get final inspection, it did not pass. I had to get an upgraded panel which took another 4 months to approve, install, and complete. Had they checked the panel and seen it did not comply with local regulations, we could have upgraded it at the start of the process and not at the very end, causing months of delay. They basically tried to absolve themselves of any blame and assume you are a solar expert and should know all the ins and outs before hiring them. Please make sure your panel is good to go before they start they work, apparently they will not do this for you. Again, I only found out I needed a panel upgrade at inspection. Obviously, its not their fault I needed an upgrade but it would have been helpful for them to let me know when we first started the process.

Worst of all, you will never hear from them. The communication was awful. I would have to call them and constantly badger them to get any update. I got the sense that they were very busy and had several people quitting left and right. I was constantly getting shuffled around to different representatives.

The installation of the solar panels, upgrade, and the work itself was fine. But the process of getting the plans submitted and passing inspection was hell. In the fine print of the solar contract, they basically say they are not responsible for delays due to inspection failures.

I requested about 5 quotes for a New Solar system for my single story home. I picked American Array because of their competitive price. And overall reviews on line as well as the BBB. I have been working with Nicholas since the start and he has been amazingly helpful, supportive and specially responsive to all my questions and concerns! Compared to all the other 4 Solar companies he has been the most professional. That's a winner in my books!

Had my project completed about a couple months ago. Very pleased with the outcome. They took care of everything and had all the permits and paperwork to get me under the nem 2.0 period. Took a little extra time to get everything started but once the okay was given the install was quick and on the morning of inspection Omar was there early to make sure everything went well. Omar was very professional, friendly, and respectful. Thanks!

Horrible service, no response to emails or phone calls, all they cared about is getting paid then they dropped the ball on my application with SCE, 9 months later and still no solar and paying for electricity.

Worst company ever, no even the decency to apologize or offer to make up for their mistakes. Shame !!!! Not worth it zero value

Frustrating process. Guess I will pay my high electricity bill throughout the entire summer while they find somebody to update a simple panel. Here I am waiting 3 months later and project not complete. Promised callbacks with updates, but that never happens.

Yesterday evening, I noticed a young man going door to door on my cameras, I immediately knew he was some sort of sales rep for ac's or solar. I knew I wasn't going to answer the door so I forgot about it. Early this morning while watching the footage from last night, I paid closer attention to him while he was at my front door because it seemed like he was antsy or something. He knocked and rang our bell and he was recording our house, probably to hit a quota or something. I can clearly see my house on his phone screen, which I don't like but I'm sure there's a logical explanation for. My issue... while he was waiting for us to come to the door, HE SPIT. I mean one of those nasty spits! It grossed me the hell out! Disgusting. He could've waited till he was off my property! So I'm out there watering down the area today but I decided not to let it go. That was gross! All on camera! I called four numbers for this company. Three went to a recorded message and one sounds like it's out of country. Do better! Talk to your sales reps. That's unacceptable! He literally could've waited till he was a few steps away from my front door.
