Horrible service, no response to emails or phone calls, all they cared about is getting paid then they dropped the ball on my application with SCE, 9 months later and still no solar and paying for electricity.

Worst company ever, no even the decency to apologize or offer to make up for their mistakes. Shame !!!! Not worth it zero value

Stay away !!!!!

Frustrating process. Guess I will pay my high electricity bill throughout the entire summer while they find somebody to update a simple panel. Here I am waiting 3 months later and project not complete. Promised callbacks with updates, but that never happens.

Yesterday evening, I noticed a young man going door to door on my cameras, I immediately knew he was some sort of sales rep for ac's or solar. I knew I wasn't going to answer the door so I forgot about it. Early this morning while watching the footage from last night, I paid closer attention to him while he was at my front door because it seemed like he was antsy or something. He knocked and rang our bell and he was recording our house, probably to hit a quota or something. I can clearly see my house on his phone screen, which I don't like but I'm sure there's a logical explanation for. My issue... while he was waiting for us to come to the door, HE SPIT. I mean one of those nasty spits! It grossed me the hell out! Disgusting. He could've waited till he was off my property! So I'm out there watering down the area today but I decided not to let it go. That was gross! All on camera! I called four numbers for this company. Three went to a recorded message and one sounds like it's out of country. Do better! Talk to your sales reps. That's unacceptable! He literally could've waited till he was a few steps away from my front door.

We just finished getting our brand new roof installed and solar system. They had the best prices but the quality of work and customer service is what stood out to us. Thank you to the whole team we highly recommend!

Awesome - Thank you to Kieran and Roxana for such an amazing experience so far. Roxana was my original contact, and contract specialist, and when I had questions on my very complicated roof (tbh), she was able to bring me to a representative and manager who knew more about the detailed process. I've been searching and researching solar for over a year , and thought I knew EXACTLY what I was looking for, and while what I wanted wasn't possible, they were able to explain why, and design a system that was going to work, with production guarantees! Panasonic panels are clearly their strong suit, and me and my husband are very comfortable with how they explained the warranties.
The project management team pointed out my roof had issues that might cause future problems, but worked out a partial reroof that allowed me to still get the solar, without having to pay overprice for a whole new roof. Great combination project, realistic pricing; Very honest, and very kind team. Ask for Roxana, Kieran, or Alam!

Signed a contract with them in November, did not have the system pass inspection until March. This company has good prices, but has bad customer service.

We were initially estimated to have our system installed in Jan. I continually had to follow up on the status throughout this process. Finally, in Feb we were told the solar panel in our plans was on backorder, but we could pay extra for the next size up panel and get an install scheduled right away. The install went smoothly but ended up failing inspection. The company promised many different times to come out and fix the issue (it was a missing ground rod. Isn't this a standard part of a solar install?). They no showed or reschedule many different times. Finally several weeks later the fix was completed and reinspection passed. I think the only reason they were motivated to pass inspection is because they wouldn't get paid until it passed.

We were told it would be 10-20 days after inspection that we would be notified of permission to operate. Hearing nothing from the company nearing the 20 day mark, I followed up with them. As usual, I received no response. So I called the city and was told that they did not need to issue PTO and we were cleared to turn the system on as soon as we passed initial inspection. Based on the quality of service with the install, I hope I never need to make a warranty claim because I have my doubts on whether I would even be able to get someone to come out.

Amazing Company. American Array installed Solar on two properties for me within six weeks and locked me into NEM 2.0. Anthony was the sales rep, he was clear in his communication, and pricing was best in class. The installation crew was terrific. I recommend and use American Array Solar again for my next project.

The best value for your money solar installer. Top notch equipment (REC, panasonic etc) for 25 - 35% less price than others. From initial contact to going PTO in just 2 months, including a 10 day wait from my HOA. Anthony was so helpful during the sales process, helping customize my project. Very quick to answer any questions. The installation was pretty smooth, the project manager wasn't as fast to respond as sales sometimes but they definitely got back to me after a day or two. It's understandable given the rush of customers wanting to lock in NEM2.0. One thing worth noting is that you won't get huge heads up for installation. They called me the evening before to let me know they're coming tomorrow LOL, but since I work from home it worked out for me. I saw this in other yelp comments as well for their Livermore location. Overall, I'm very satisfied with American Array and have referred them to my neighbors and friends.

I worked with American Array solar to install a 5 kW system on our home over the course of three months in 2022. It took a while but they were always very responsive with city permit process, inspections, ordering, etc. Anthony on the sales and customer service side was great. Adam our project manager was responsive and even fixed an issue with tilted panels in a place we didn't initially expect them to be, and overall I was very happy with their service. Now looking to expand the system and went straight back to the same company.

It was really hard choosing between solar companies; all of them seem to be priced very closely, and all of them have a full range of reviews from ""they were awesome, everything was amazing!"" down to ""they burned my house down."" I would say that at the end, I'm happy I went with American Array Solar and Roofing with my project; it took longer than I expected to complete and the communication was a bit spotty, but at the end of the day, I have a working solar system at the originally quoted price.

To start, Anthony in sales was great, he was able to pull in everyone needed to make the initial plan. My project is bit non-standard because of my tile roof but we were able to determine that wouldn't be a problem.

Things started to break down a bit during the engineering process; after the lengthy discussion I had with Anthony about my roof, including sending photos of what kind of tiles they'd need to replace the ones that inevitably break, the engineer's design that the installers showed up with was based on a standard shingled roof.

The installers were pros though; they showed up several hours late but ended up finishing the panel mounting after working into the night. I'm not sure what went wrong after that (whether it was the city inspector's schedule or the installer's schedule) but I didn't hear anything for several months, and Anthony had to help me chase down an update.

When the installers came for the final inspection, the city inspector pointed out they needed a second grounding rod, and while they weren't prepared for that they went to Home Depot and got that installed and approved the same day.

So, in conclusion, everything ended up being installed according to the original spec and price, just taking longer than I expected.
