I am updating my review because AMECO has assured me that they no longer work with the crew that was negligent and responsible for the issues with our roof.

AMECO has sent a quality inspector to our home to ensure that our roof has no further problems and I feel that they have made things right overall.

Additionally, the solar installers were wonderful and our solar has been running beautifully so far.

I chose Ameco through the LADWP solar marketplace for a large solar installation with Tesla Powerwall+ whole house backup.

It ended up being a very hard lift to get the permits through with the city and they did an incredible job getting their whole team on the same page and working together to get it through before my loan expired.

The system itself is great - no roof problems, everything looks great and I'm getting a ton of electricity! I paired it with a SPAN panel (installed by my electrician) and the entire house can be on solar + battery backup 24 hours a day if need be.

Six months after the initial install, I had an issue with the Tesla gateway and they got a repairman out quickly to get it figured out. They stood by their work.

I'd recommend Ameco to anyone who needs a solar installation. They knocked it out of the park!

They were able to install the system that i wanted and no other company that i talked to could do what i wanted. The Sales Person was very knowledgeable. The design and installation went smoothly. There were a couple of delays in obtaining the final Permit to Operate from Edison that cost me at least a week and possibly two weeks time because the information that they gave to Edison was inaccurate and incomplete. Also their billing department was very aggressive in demanding payment sometimes even before that phase of the work was completed. All in all i got what i wanted and was charged a fair price.

Very happy with the final product from the Ameco Team. It was a good experience overall, some speed bumps along the way but they have lots of good people to work through the process. Would recommend them to anyone looking into Solar

I used Ameco for two separate projects - one for my solar panels, and then for a battery.

Ameco contacted me in a timely manner and kept appointments as promised. Their installers were knowledgeable and professional. Because there was a deadline to receive lock-in rates, there was a huge surge in activity which led to PG&E delays. Ameco checked in with me regularly to let me know where we were in the process - it was nice to be contacted every couple of weeks and status'd as opposed to just wondering if I was sitting in a black hole.

After my install was complete, I was given an overview and training on how to use the app and monitor my system. I had been playing around with it a little, but the training helped me understand better and pointed out things that were helpful.

We had solar and roof installed by Ameco over a year ago. The project took over twice as long as they had proposed. They were sending one roofer a day, not to mention he was drinking on the job as we found empty alcohol cans in our garbage and in the pile of trash near the roof tiles. Although we raised this to their attention, they never did anything about it. Fast forward to when it rained, the roof leaked in two different places, and after they ""repaired"" the issue, it leaked again in the same spot causing drywall damage inside. There has been no accountability or concern for the customer. Now we found out that the circuit keeps triggering and shutting off the solar, we haven't had it working for over two months. They said it would be monitored and if the system output wasn't as expected they would notify us and come out and find a resolution. They haven't contacted us once. Not only did they do a poor job on the roof, the solar also isn't delivering on what was promised. The excuse was the project manager is no longer there and the one roofer they were sending out also is no longer at the company. That does nothing for us at this point, what's done is done. I read all the positive reviews before choosing them, but I want to be sure that anyone who is considering Ameco knows what we went through. It was a horrible experience, with subpar customer service, no accountability, and still have ongoing issues. This project was over $100K and we expected more.

We had a new solar panel system installed on our house and we were lucky enough to get it under the NEM 2.0 program thanks to Ameco's help. I started applying a little before the deadline and they were very quick in approving and getting the application started with PG&E. The whole project was painless from start to finish with the exception of how long it took for us to turn on the entire system, but that was not due to Ameco's fault or failure. The delay was all on PG&E.

During the process, Jaqueline F. was great at keeping us updated on the progress of the system. She responded to my questions in a prompt manner during the entire process. Once our system was installed, Ophir B spent a considerable amount of time going over the Enphase application that we use to track our system's production and the emergency shutoff procedures as well as answering all the questions that I had, which were many. Ophir was not only professional but friendly and courteous as well. I am very happy with the system and the service that we received from everyone at Ameco!

Ameco Solar has been a very good and reliable solar company. I have had my system for about 18 months now and there hAve been very few problems. When issues did arise their service people like Tigran were very quick to call you back and get the issue resolved. I highly recommend Ameco Solar.
