Alves Discount Carpet & Flooring

Recently I purchased some very inexpensive laminate flooring from Alves. It was .99 per SF, and they warned me that this product was not very sturdy and not suitable for many applications. Sure enough it was chipping quite easily during installation, and my contractor (not Alves) said it would not hold up over time.
I returned the product to Alves and they gave me a full refund even though I'm the one who made a bad choice in purchasing the laminate. They were extremely helpful throughout the process, going as far as to listen to my contractor explain the problem with the product (of which they were already aware).

Went in before purchasing and they were so helpful and friendly. Came back to purchase and again was helped with exceptional service. Everything went well with our install and they even took back our unopened leftovers!!! Would recommend them for anyone looking for flooring and especially for anyone looking to do it themselves! I have bought many things here recently. The two guys working the ""floor"" are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Good prices and a decent selection of carpet, vinyl and laminate. Try here before anywhere else.

We looked around Eureka and Arcata for the best deals and Discount Carpets had by far the best quality carpet for the price. The owner was knowledgeable and helpful. We've bough 3 carpet remnants so far and they've withstood high traffic and pets over the past year resiliently! We will be buying all our carpet and tile from him in the coming years as we remodel the house.
