Dave Klinker and team are EXCELLENT!! We had 8 companies give us a bid and unlike most of the others, Dave gave us his best bid right upfront instead of coming in high and asking what the other bids are and trying to match them. Dave is honest and he delivers exactly what he promises!

Our roof was started about a week after we signed the contract. Other companies said it would be at least 6-8 weeks! The way I see it is we got the best price and our roof was installed sooner than all the others could do it.

The quality of Milton's work and the materials are excellent! Milton is a roofing artist! Everyone from Dave, the removal team and the install team is extremely nice and VERY hard working. They aim to please FOR SURE! they left our yard cleaner than it was when they started. They also took the time to fill in gaps where critters could (and were!) getting into the attic.

Overall, I say to give Alta-Cal Roofing a chance to bid on your roof! You will not be sorry. Many thanks to Dave and team for your hard work and attention to detail! We really appreciate it!!

We had four different companies give us quotes to replace our roof. Whoever we chose had to coordinate with the HVAC contractor because we replaced the unit on the roof at the same time. Dave's quote was by far the most detailed and thorough - spelling everything out exactly. The price was right, the quality exceptional, and the customer service above par. Dave was always available when i had questions or concerns. He worked well with the other company and everything turned out beautifully. I would highly recommend Alta Cal roofing!!

PROJECT: Remove old concrete tiles that were installed back in 1978 (prior to current Code). Install all required roofing materials to meet current Code. Plus, I had seamless gutters installed & attic insulation that meets code +.

Dave, owner of Alta-Cal Roofing here in the foothills east of Sacramento, presented me with a written and reasonable estimate. He explained what I needed to know in ""layman's"" terms. Details on the written estimate were easy to read. Dave was thorough in describing the work his crews would be responsible for. He explained about Title 24 requirements. Brought me timely samples of qualified composition shingles from which to choose, etc. Project start and end dates were as promised. His Lead roofer, Milton, was courteous at all times and obviously quite experienced and skillful at his job. The ENTIRE crew worked incredibly hard! Thank you, all.

Dave told me payment would be accepted AFTER the job was completed and AFTER it passed Building Inspection. Who does that? Wow! My entire experience with this outfit: TERRIFIC! P.S. Love my new roof. :-)

Our home had a pending sale and we had 3 separate companies look at the roof. The first was the inspector since we were under contract. The second was my realtors roofer to give a second opinion. Both stated the roof needed replacement. My realtors guy quoted us nearly $10,000 which included gutters. We called Alta Cal at the recommendation of my husband's parents. He stated he was booked out for months. We told him our situation and he came out the next day to quote us. Our buyers backed out so we decided to have the roof done so we could get the house back on the market. His price was very reasonable and He went over the whole house with us. He is very knowledgeable. He has us get a pest inspection done prior to starting the job, which was very helpful in making sure we were aware of any issues. He was able to get the project started within a week. The first day was tear-off day. The crew got it done quickly and did a great job cleaning up. Then from there they replaced the dry rot and papered it. The job was completed in a timely manner. The finished product looked amazing and they even installed an attic fan for us. Outstanding service, quality, and value. The final price was just a little more than the quote due to the dry rot, but we were expecting that. I highly recommend!

You should not be impressed when a companyy performs as it should but I am totally impressed with this company's performance and price. Dave Klinker, the owner and a very affable gentleman, came out to give me an estimate. He was very thorough, explained everything and answered all questions I had. He left roofing sample boards, literature, a list of many references and a contract if we decided to hire his company. There were other roof's being replaced in our neighborhood so we had other estimates and watched the other companies timelines and job performance. We decided to hire Alta Cal. I am so glad we did! The materials used are top quality and the crew was cordial and hardworking. They took 4 days to complete the job. We had a lot of dry rot issues. That was the unknown factor in the contract. It could not be estimated until the roof was torn off. I was worried I might get ""soaked"" on the dry rot repairs. Not the case at all! The finished price was a little bit lower than what I had budgeted. The crew cleaned up daily. After the job was complete I had a garbage pile that needed to be hauled away. A very nice young man came out the next morning to clean up and haul away. I didn't even have dust left on the driveway! I am extremely pleased with this company's price and performance and would highly recommend them!
