First time trying Allied Roofing and Waterproofing.
We had a roof that got stripped a few months back, due to the weird weather we've been having in LA.
When it came time to look for someone to fix it, the home insurance company suggested we use give Allied a call.
Sure enough, the guys at allied were quick to give me an estimate, they were pretty affordable and the quality of the work was really good. so far No leaks or issues! and definitely way better than the run down motel i was staying at.
so glad to be home :)

I'm the president of an HOA for a 118-unit condominium complex in Miracle Mile. I see that Allied was still using a photo of our roof in its marketing as of 5/9/17 (both here on Yelp and on the Allied website). Surprising, given what we went through with him.
In fairness, my experience with Allied started well after a new $450,000 flat roof was installed. I'm told the work was acceptable, but Justin was challenging to work with. Not a problem, because as most of us know, the best work can sometimes come from contractors who are a little difficult.
My interaction with Justin began when the roof started leaking less than halfway into its 20-year warranty on materials (from Malarkey Roofing Products). I called Justin to request an assessment. What followed was many weeks of delays, ignored emails and phone calls, and erroneous claims.
Justin initially told me that, without seeing the condition of the roof, we needed a new cool roof overlay at a cost of $300,000.
After further discussion about the lifespan of the roof his firm installed, he claimed we could bring it back under warranty if we were to have him provide a list of issues that needed attention and paid his firm to make those corrections.
We agreed to have him both repair the existing leaks and give us the list of corrections needed with associated costs.
For the leak repair, he required a signed estimate stating, ""$1575 - $1875, BASED ON LABOR AT $65/HR PER MAN""
Two laborers were here for slightly more than 2 hours, but still he billed $1875. When we asked why the amount was so out of line with the language in the estimate, Justin became belligerent, citing costs for overhead, supervision, scheduling, etc. When I requested the list of issues needing to be resolved to get back under warranty and associated costs, he told me he wouldn't provide it until we paid the $1875.
We mutually agreed on the lower estimate figure of $1575 -- which was still more than $1000 above the cost of the work performed -- and I mailed a check to him.
Week after week, we followed up to ask when Justin could provide the list of corrections needed with associated costs to bring the roof back under warranty. Each time we were given an excuse and told it would be forthcoming... until he stopped responding altogether.
Then we contacted Malarkey, the materials manufacturer. They told us the roof was never out of warranty and sent their Technical Field Rep over to do an assessment. This gave us the information we needed about recommended repairs and a list of Malarkey-approved vendors to execute them (that didn't include Allied).
A firm from the Malarkey list completed the repairs efficiently and professionally. Malarkey blessed the work. And now we have the peace of mind that comes with having a competent contractor, a reliable roof over our heads, and from knowing we're finished with Justin and Allied.
5/11/17 Addendum - Rather than post a response/explanation to my review, Justin emailed another individual here in the complex to threaten legal action unless I remove the above Yelp posting. He then had someone call the HOA office and repeat the threat. I have to wonder if the same happened to the others who've posted honest, less than flattering reviews.

My name is Demetrio Gonzalez and I'm a Superintendent with Reconstruction Experts. ARWP has worked on numerous large projects for me. ARWP has always provided pristine high quality work. They have always conducted themselves with high integrity, professionalism and have always surpassed my expectations. All the project I run are high profile large HOA condominiums, which before hand always a schedule in place that needs to be met. We'll ARWP has completed the projects placed before them way ahead of schedule without ever compromising quality. I am pleased to say that ARWPs crews have always conducted themselves with high standards and always on time. If you are seeking to hire a waterproofing or roofing company then trust when I say that your search is over and ARWP is your go to company. There is no job to complex of to large for them to start and finish as they have proven to me time and time again. Remember you get what you pay for and ARWP is not an average mediocre roofing waterproofing company. I can go on and as to the great impression they have left with me. It's always been a pleasure and an honor to work with Justin and his company. I look forward to continually using them in the near and far future and many of my projects.

I have not had any work done by this company but got different answers right off the bat so it's probably good that I found out early. I called last week seeing they have good reviews as I need my small house roof replaced. I spoke to Teresa who got my info and said a scheduler would call me back within a few days to make an appointment about 4 weeks out.
Since it has been a few days and I have not heard back, I called today and spoke to a gentleman (presumably Brad), and explained to him my conversation with Teresa last week and that I was waiting to hear back from scheduler. The gentleman said it would probably be 4 weeks before someone would call back and the appointment would be another 4 weeks out. It's too much of a difference within the 2-3 days between my calls and there has been little to no new rains since my last call so not sure why the large gap in the answers - anyway, luckily I just wasted only a few days waiting. What if I had waited for 4 weeks for a call back and then nothing happens - I decided to remove my request from their list.

We had been told about the integrity of this company by several Los Angeles real estate agents. I checked the yelp reviews but was even more more impressed when I called for a bid for work. Gary gave me a bid within one day. He called personally and was very clear, honest and helpful. He took time to explain what needed to be done and said he really wanted to do the work. He checked back the next day to see if his company won the bid. I hire out about three roofs a year and my husband is in the construction business. I can honestly say I have not ever talked to someone over the phone that I felt so positive about doing business with. I just felt Gary cared.
Later he emailed me information about types of roofs, even though he did not know if he got the work. Allied Roofing has my future work. They are fair in cost, follow-through and care about the customer getting the best for their money. Thank god for companies like this!

I have known and done business with 4myroof for years and find them to be the best of the best.
They show up on time and have quality installers who know what they are doing and are very intelligent.
4myroof owner, Justin, is friendly, polite, meticulous and one of the most knowledgeable guys in the industry.
You can likely find someone who will furnish a roof for a cheaper price then 4myroof, but not a company who will do as good a job.
Hands down one of the best commercial and upscale residential roofers in West L.A.

Thanks to Justin, Sam and the guys at 4myroof I have peace of mind. I was afraid our old roof was about to collapse - or worse yet, catch on fire. 4 My Roof helped us choose a new, safe roof for our house. It did not cost as much as I thought it might, but the level of protection we now have is priceless.
