I received quote over the phone for desired service of leak in cement tile roof which was $500 less than others.
The work quoted after inspection by Cody, had added repairs other bids did not include including 3 new roof vent seals, weatherproof valley (3) membranes, cracked chimney tile repair, fastening loose rain gutter, and cleaning out all rain gutters.
I highly recommend their company.
Alyssa N.Great work on our roof repairs for the new home we bought. All professional staff. Hoping to get more work done from them soon.
These guys ripped me off. My wife called for a leak repair while I was out of town and they quoted 2000.00, they said leak was caused by tree branch.
When they came to fix I told them their service was not needed as I fixed the roof leak (which was actually caused by leafs under solar panels, which caused water to back up during hard rain).
They came back while I was gone and charged my wife over 2000.00 for cutting some branches back that didn't need trimming. Of course they only took cash and left no receipt for work done. RIPPED OFF!! CANT TRUST THEM
March 7th I called, made an appointment for the 9th for an estimate on a new roof. They didn't show. I called, they apologized and asked to come out the next morning so I made another meeting with them. They didn't show again. I called and told them if they didn't want the job to just tell me (figured that's the professional thing to do). He just nonchalantly said ""okay you got it"". I guess business is so well they can brush anyone off without even a curtesy call.
Tracey F.I called AllState roofing company last month. I wanted to get a bid for my home. I spoke with a really nice woman on the phone named Jeannette. She made an appointment for me the following week, of which she said I did not have to be on location. After waiting a week and an a half, I had not heard from them so I called. I was told that Jeanette quit and they were trying to sort things out as they had no idea who she made appointments for. I made a second appointment for the same week. I gave them 7 more days to get back to me with a estimate, seven days came and left. You would think I would have just said forget it but I called them again to find out the status of my roof estimate. The woman who picked up the phone put me on hold and then came back and said, ""OK, what day would you like an appointment"". I said, ""What? What do you mean, I already had one, have you not gone out again?"" She then put me on hold, and then came back and said she would have someone call me. (me rolling my eyes) I received a called from one of the roofers at AllState apologizing and promising that he would go out to my house the next day. It is now March, No call, NO show and NO estimate. Perhaps he did not like the amount of questions I had concerning my roof as I refused to have them put a combustible roof on my home(TPO) of which they proudly advertise as the best roof out for a flat top! Anyway this company is NOT professional, they don't show up for appointments and have proven they are not reliable! NEVER MIND to AllState Roofing! I could only imagine the stress if someone entered into contract and they did not show up after ripping off your roof! I would not recommend AllState Roofing Company they prove to be unreliable.
ME F.This review spans 2016 and 2017. After interviewing and receiving bids for a total roof replacement from three different companies, I chose Allstate Roofing. They came out and walked the project before offering a bid. They listened to what I expected and wanted.
We purchased our home in 2014 and that winter experienced a drenching leak in our garage during the winter rains. The same thing happened in 2015. In 2016 we finally qualified for a Ygrene loan to replace our roof. To complicate things we needed a roofer experienced in both shingle and tpo roofing materials. We also needed them to be willing to work with the solar company doing our thermal pool water and photovoltaic solar power installation. This would ensure that all work would be compliant with roofing warranties. In May 2016 over a three week period our roof was replaced. Plywood that had dry rot was replaced. Allstate Roofing have crews that have training and expertise in specific types of roofing so each crew worked on their respective sides. They kept me informed about each stage of the roof replacement. They coordinated with the solar installation crew. They were careful with the plants. They cleaned up each day before they left. I was and am satisfied with the work.
When the rains started in the winter of 2016/17 I had an unexplained leak. I called Allstate Roofing and they checked every seam on the flat roof. It was finally determined that our HVAC unit had a crack in the duct work. An Allstate Roofing crew manager that had worked on our roof worked with our HVAC contractor to figure out where the leak occurred and determined the best fix. This took several visits by Allstate's manager to figure out what was happening. They did not charge me for this time.
We decided to refinance in November 2017. The pest inspector found several locations along the fascia boards where dry rot was found. We had not noted any dry rot in these areas the year before. Replacing these boards would require removing the perimeter roofing material along the roof with the TPO and a section of plywood under the eaves of the shingled roof. I called Allstate Roofing and they came out walked through the repairs and scheduled the work as fast as possible so we could meet the timeline of the refinance. Again this required the skills of two different types of roofing crews. The workmen were careful and knowledgeable. They cleaned up after each day of work. They delivered the wood for the work ahead of time so I could get the wood sanded, primed and painted to match existing fascia. When they finished their work they caulked and touched up all the nail and screw dips which was not in our contract.
I am impressed from Allstate's owner and the crews! I am detail oriented and ask incessant questions. They did not ignore or scoff at them.
I highly recommend Allstate Roofing if you want a quality job and a company that stands behind their work.
I am sorry to have to give such a poor rating but since this company does not seem to care about its own work I guess I have no other choice, about two and a half years ago we purchased our home and at the time of purchase the seller chose this company over Above All Roofing who was the competitor (whom we wanted and ask for and was cheeper on the bid) so because we did not have the choice we had to go with this company, however they did let us choose the color of the time,, anyways,,long story short the roof that we received when we came back was unreal! it was to be a total remove and replace according to their estimate and when you look at this roof it has major deflection as if it was an old roof. , well recently we had a pest inspection and they found roof rot!? really, its not that old, found out this company saw it and never replaced it,, our neighbor told us this but we never saw it so we thought it wasn't , but when you got on the ladder and looked under the roof over. there it was!!, they never fixed it when they put our roof on it,, we called the roofer , the owner came out, agreed ,, saw our fix and said ""it was a good fix"" but never apologized, we pointed out the horrible work, he did agree it wasn't up to par (which let us to believe he was not the original owner) but never offered a fix or an apology, but did fix the error around our fire place,, wow really!!!???
I truly do not recommend this company at all!!, if you want the address here to see first hand come on by,,
Living in shame in Vacaville
The project was to install a brand new roof for a rental property we own. Allstate Roofing is the worst one we ever have among all projects. The following are the details
1) Allstate Roofing told us they checked the house and indicated ""tear off and dispose existing single layer roof"" on the written quote. However on the start day, Allstate Roofing told us it's actually a two-layer roof and we need to pay a lot more to remove it. We tried to talk with the owner of Allstate Roofing at that time but was turned down. During negotiation, Allstate Roofing asked the crew to leave and left the roof partially torn down. We had to pay more than on the written quote due to the situation.
2) On the written quote, Allstate Roofing wrote ""3 skylights"". Actually there is only one skylights on that house . At the end, they did not change the skylight but leaving the old cracked cover on the position loosely, despite we sent multiple web links of similar size skylight covers. We had to have another contractor to do the skylight replacement. He simply went to Lowes and found a matching one and put on the skylight cover on the same day.
3) Before the start of the project, Allstate Roofing said it's better to remove the existing gutter. However, they called us AFTER removing of the gutter saying it's better to keep the gutter because of the roof structure of that house. They even left a hole of the sidewall and did not tell us. Again, we had to find another contractor to fix that.
4) Originally we were told the actual work is same for both Preferred Protection Plus System warranty and Golden Pledge warranty. The price difference is only due to the different warranty coverage. When we want to switch to the better warranty (Gold Pledge), Allstate Roofing then told us they are some differences in terms of actual work.
5) Due to all the contradictory info we got from Allstate Roofing, we had to have an independent licensed roofer to do an inspection and found out that there was not enough ventilation for the new installed roof
7) Communicating with Allstate roofing was very stressful and many sentences they said were just not true. They threat to put a lien on our credit report during negotiation.
Steve P.Allstate roofing completed my roof repair in a timely and professional manner. Dennis was very friendly and listened carefully to my concerns over my leaking roof. He arrived at my house, inspected the roof, found the leak and fixed it within 1 hour of my initial call. All of the other roofing companies that I called told me they may be able to get to me in about 3 weeks because Vacaville is in the middle of the rainy season. Some never returned my call and they were rated 5 stars on Yelp! I am amazed at how fast and good Allstate is. I will call Allstate first the next time I need any roof work done.
Nicole R.If I could give ZERO stars I would.
I called asking for an estimate, and was told he was too busy. Why would he come out to do an estimate on a job he might not get. So, no he can't come out.
I am so thankful you told me that, and I will NEVER chose you, or recommend you. I will be the first to tell everyone NOT to choose you. Thank you so much for your help. I hope you have great company success in years to come.
