We used Wen and his crew to remodel my mom's condo last fall. His quote was the lowest of the three estimates we got, and we really appreciated his professionalism and honesty. The crew did a great job replacing the laminate flooring with engineered hardwood, redoing the tile in the bathrooms and kitchen, replacing the cabinets, installing marble counter-tops, adding recessed lighting, replacing the baseboards, and replacing/reframing the interior doors. He recommended some stores to look at for materials, and was willing to pick up materials from a couple different locations. The workmanship was good, and he was very responsive over phone and e-mail. He was also flexible in agreeing to do some additional work along the way when things didn't go exactly as planned. He did a great job keeping me up to date and calling with any questions that came up. It was a real pleasure to work with him. I've been meaning to write a review for the last few months. Now that I've finally started a Yelp account, I can!

Wen and his team are really patient, considerate, and professional.

Wen were very responsive including answering my phone calls late at night. Wen also had promised to come on a Wednesday or Thursday however, he didn't make it till Friday, but him and his guys worked Saturday and late too. My husband and I had to practically kick him and his crew out because we had an event to attend. How great can this guy be!!!

Not only was he responsive, but his work was magnificent. He knew exactly what I wanted once I sent him a picture of my ideal fireplace. He custom built it from scratch. I love my fireplace!!

I would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone of my friends and family for renovations.

As the name suggests, All Star Team Construction is made up of professionals. Wen and his team are true experts of their trade. They were extremely responsive to all of our questions and also provided the most competitive bid. He even picked up our phone calls with project scope changes late at night. I would recommend him for future projects without hesitation! He is definitely the best.

I picked Wen to quote a project for me since he had a stellar Yelp rating. Wen provided me a quote and I did not select his bid, but since I liked the guy I figured I'd give him a shot at my next job. So, I reached out to him and asked him to do some laminate flooring in a relatively small room (~ 240 sqft). He had seen the room previously from the first job walk, so he had an idea of the space and had already quoted me a price. So, I was ready to move!

The job was completey his, no bids, no competition...his. The afternoon of Tuesday 3/27 we tentatively scheduled to meet that evening from 6:30-7PM, and around 2:00PM he told me he would confirm ""ASAP"". Then, just around 5:50PM he texted me with ""Hey probably meet you tomorrow morining...pouring right now. Call you 1/2 hours away."" So I was like OK (even with a bullshit rain excuse), because we had previously discussed 10AM Wednesday morning as an alternate meeting time. I informed him that I had a very busy Wednesday with several meetings, but would accomodate that 10AM meeting. He told me ""OK, no problem"", so I figured we were good to go for Wednesday at 10AM.

So, in order for me to make that 10AM time, I went to work at 6AM, which is about 2 hours earlier than my typical start time (hey, I'm a Director so I pretty much start when I want, typically around 8AM). So, at 9:30 I left my office in order to be there at 10AM. At 9:40 (exactly nine forty AM) Wen texted me ""hey need to reschedule with you...cant find my sample this mornin"".

Really? He cancelled 20 minutes in advance after I made accomodations to meet on HIS TIME, not MINE. I'm sorry, but 2 excuses is far too many (first the rain, then cant find his shit). I think that is a complete joke.

What is it with contractors? This is the 2nd flooring guy who ended up being an absolute flake. So now I sit here tired from getting up early, pissed because I was just flaked on, and still needing to find someone who I can generously pay to do some work. It is contractors like Wen why we all have such a bad impression on contractors, and for him to have such a quality Yelp rating is bullshit. I don't care what type of work he does - he is too much hassle to work with in my book.

Shitty that I had to post this about a fellow CSUH alumni, but you all need the truth! It's 2012 and I'm 0 for 2 on flooring contractors - guess the recession is over!

I had Wen do some work in my new office. He was excellent in communication. When there was a problem, he even came in the evening/ weekend to fix it, to make sure the job was finished on time. Price is very reasonable too. Will definitely contact him again when I need a contractor again.

I have used Wen on many jobs. He has installed tile, wood flooring and countertops in several of my properties. He has a great attitude and is excellent to work with, always a joy to be around. Oh yeah, his work is good too. I am very picky and he meets my standards every time. Not only has he done several jobs for me, I have recommended him to many people and all have thanked me for the introduction. I will continue to hire Wen on future projects, he is honest, does what he says, completes the project in a timely manner and has very competitive pricing...that is not easy to find in the bay area.

I had a great experience with this Contractor. I needed two bathrooms completely remodeled, windows replaced and new flooring. Wen does quality work at an honest price and with a great attitude. He is also quite responsive and completes his work as promised. I will definitely contact Wen again for future work.

Wen has been very responsive via email and phone, which I find to be rare with contractors who usually require ""chasing"". His was the most reasonable of the multiple bids we received for re-tiling our master bathroom last June.

And the most impressive part of all... I emailed him last month (a year after he completed the job) to let him know that one of the tiles had cracked and the grout had come loose. He fixed it free of charge and didn't even charge us for time or materials to purchase additional grout because we couldn't find the original grout he'd used. He went above and beyond and stands behind his work. I'm impressed! Thanks Wen!

We have worked with Wen on two projects in our home in Willow Glen and both of them have been positive experiences. To put it in perspective, we hired Wen for roles that involved installing extensive hardwood floors and baseboard. These are items that I shipped in to myself from a company on the East Coast so the coordination was easy to manage. Wen was quite comfortable working with this type of partnership and provided his insight and expertise when it came to installing the floors in specific patterns etc. Our floors are still excellent and holding up very, very well. Price was very fair for the labor involved!

I needed to remodel my two bathrooms, kitchen, and flooring. I got some bids from other contractors but a friend told us about Wen and his crew. He showed up for a bid and his bid was a lower than the others. I was stunned by his friendliness and professionalism. I felt at ease with him. I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off.

I got granite for the kitchen, tiles and new showers in the bathrooms, and nice bamboo hardwood flooring. The work was spot on. Nothing to complain about. Everything looks great. We and his crew was professional and finished everything in short period of time. I was expecting like 3 weeks to finish but they got it done in less than 2.

Last time, I had a problem with my dishwasher. I called him and he showed up that night after working another job. Sure enough, he even fixed that.

What a great guy to work with all around. He is definitely my go-to contractor for any future projects. I highly recommend him. He deserves my business and yours!
