I received an email from Terry, the owner of All Star, about my experience. I was not aware that they had a minimum charge for coming out, so I will rescind my comment about them trying to scam us. I will stand by my experience of Jason not coming out at the agreed time and not being able to reach anyone in the office for over an hour. I was at work and under a great deal of stress when this happened, so I was being a flaming bitch, but I still think being on time and available to speak to customers is paramount.

All Star recently (2/15) replaced our roof after some hail damage a while back. They had the best quote by far and the roof looks great. They got the job done quickly and were professional and personable. Would definitely recommend.

After losing shingles in last year's wind storm we developed roof leaks, I dreaded having to deal with the repair. I called All Star and Lynn was super sweet, told me she could have someone out to inspect our roof within 24 hours. Terry came by when we weren't home, inspected the roof, took a lot of photos and left a packet with the bid and photos. We were pleased to hear he did not recommend replacing the whole damaged area, saving us $400 from the insurance adjuster estimate. I expected that since I told Lynn that's what the insurance recommended that's what they would bid. I called the next morning to approve the bid and Lynn said she'd let me know by end of day when it could he done. Ended up they could do it the next day, Jason did the repair was fast, clean and even trimmed trees the we're rubbing our roof slightly. It took a total of four days from quote to repair, if we need more repairs I know who to call!

We bought an older house that was leaking in several areas and had previous patch work. We contacted several companies in the Austin area. One came out and declined to work on our roof saying it was too complicated. That same roofer had previously roofed another house for us so this was very surprising. Our house is a simple 1940 one story with detached garage. We also had a repair quote the prior owner had obtained. Terry from All Star came out and performed an inspection. He provided separate quotes for the house and garage in case we wanted to focus on the house first. The quote was competitive to the repair /patch estimate we had. Terry let us know the things we would need to do in advance like provide electrical outlet, access to driveway, and recommendation to cover items in our garage since the prior roof was an old wood shingle with no decking so would require breaking up the shingles. The materials and crew arrived on time and the job was completed in one day. The cost was at the quote with the exception of a couple of deck sections needing replacement at very reasonable cost. Terry also opted to use an insulated decking for our garage at no added cost so we could use the garage for other purposes if we choose to later. The crew did a great job cleaning up. I did find a couple of nails later but these seem to have worked their way into crevices on the drive more than anything else.

The day after the roof was installed (early October 2013) Austin had the massive rainstorms that caused significant flooding. We did not have a single issue and have gone through multiple large storms with no issues. Overall we are very satisfied with the communication, work quality, and hometown friendliness of Terry and his team/family.

Roof leaking discovered with sheetrock staining in my living room during heavy rains last week. Dread.

All Star had great Yelp reviews. Called them. They answered the phone and pledged a call back / visit within a couple days. Called me back and came out on time as scheduled. Jason checked it and found the problem pretty quickly. Fixed on the spot with a 5-year warranty. Minimum cost. Great service. A+++

Update 10-14-13..........the skies fell this weekend....12+"" of rain in 24 hours my neighborhood. No problems with my roof. Really happy I got it fixed when I did.
