We had several estimates from various companies and we chose All American Roofing as the estimate was through and they answered our questions with no nonsense answers. We were building our dream home and there were many subcontractors involved. All American Roofing was the star sub as they went above and beyond the call and did a great job, from the attention to detail all the way to the gutter and downspouts everything we asked for was spot on. We are glad we went with them and would recommend them to anyone looking to get it done right the first time.

We called many roofers and they were all busy. We called All American Roofing and talked to John and he came out right away. We explained our situation that our insurance company wanted us to get the roof done as we are in an extremely high fire zone. John gave the estimate in one day and this was a life saver for us. We can't recommend All American Roofing enough.

This company is not to be trusted. They sold me a very expensive roof with a bogus warranty and then left me hanging. I would never use them again. A company is only as good as their word and this one did not keep theirs. John Tescher was very rude about it and will not do anything to make it right. Don't waste your time.

All American Roofing has completed a large community flat roof project recently, they have proven to work well with difficult personalities, and they are quick to tend to reported leaks, which makes the homeowners feel heard and cared for. They will also be used for the tile roof portion of the project as they have proven that they can complete the work at a reasonable price with labor and product warranty in place.

Don't be turned off by their no nonsense approach to business. If you are looking for fluff and hand holding, then you are in the wrong place and you can pay someone else more for that. If you are looking for a hard working company who will get the work done and back their labor as well as provide warranty info on the products that they install, then you have found your vendor.

We had a total of 4 estimates done for our roof - John was by far the most detailed and complete estimate along with the best price. The All American workers were efficient, kind and very respectful while working on our roof. They answered any and all of our questions, they were more than willing to add additional vents when we wanted. They were detailed when showing and explaining the damage done from a previous roofer. While I didn't actually use these people, I asked for them to come out and what needed to be repaired because the rains this year caused a nice sized water leak in our second floor ceiling. You should believe the other one star reviews if my experience is indicative of their actual repair work. I called them because we have a stone coated steel roof and the original roofing tile company said they were the official repair roofing company under their warranty for the area (the only ones in the Thousand Oaks CA area). More rains were scheduled to be coming and we were growing desperate since we didn't want our upstairs to be destroyed with a large repair bill. The owner told me that they were scheduled 4 months out (regular roofing jobs). After pleading with him, he said they would see if something were possible and I gave him my cell phone number. Unfortunately, the cell phone wasn't on loud enough for my wife to hear when he called that afternoon (I was on the treadmill and not by my phone for about 45 minutes, but assumed that my wife would hear it). He called the house number too, but never left a message as my wife got to the phone and heard it click. When I called later that day, he said that he was going to have his manager come out during his lunch hour but the ""window of opportunity had closed,"" and why didn't I have the cell phone with me if I wanted his service. I've never heard such a bad attitude from someone in a trade that I though was supposed to be about helping customers. I've never seen a company on Yelp actually get an average of one star. So, bottom line: believe these Yelp one star ratings and avoid this company if you're in the Thousand Oaks area--unless you want to invite attitude problems and bad customer relations--and possible poor repair work too!

I've only ever dealt with John Tescher via phone and email, not anyone else
. I'm impressed with how quickly he responds to an email. I've used All American several times for various flashing problems on our HOA roofs. They've always come promptly and fixed the leaks well. A few weeks ago they installed two Sola Tubes in my condo. One of them leaked during yesterday's deluge, this was a Saturday, so I emailed John and he said he'd send someone out first thing Monday. SUNDAY afternoon, here's an All American worker at my door - went on the roof, did some hammering and sawing and as he was leaving, the rain came down again. No leaks! It was fixed, and on a Sunday! I'm very impressed.
