I had an appointment scheduled with ALIVE in which they did not come on the appointed date or even give a call for that matter. Speaks volumes for the type of company you will be dealing with when they are not respectful of your time. Also, when you try to give them a call you get an answering machine. Definitely would not go with this company ever as there are plenty other solar companies which are helpful, professional and available.

These guys are very customer focused. I left a message and didn't expect to hear back from anybody. Surprise! About 20 minutes later Josh called me and we had a good discussion about what I needed. He then got Jeremy on the phone to further address my inquiry. Wasn't a hard sell and it truly felt like they're there to solve problems. As a real estate agent who I work with and refer is critical to sustaining my business. I would recommend Alive Solar & Roofing without hesitation.

I'll be honest, any company can do a good job, as long as nothing goes wrong. But as soon as something goes wrong, that's when an amazing company differentiates itself from a good company. I can say with confidence, that with the issues, timelines, and unexpected changes encountered with my job (unrelated to the solar), I don't think it would have ended as positively as it did with any company other than Alive. Carol, Adam and the rest of the team at Alive worked with me while integrating my solar install into a complicated multi-phase whole house remodel, and I couldn't be happier with the results. 6 months in to my beautiful solar and battery setup, and I've only compliments from other electricians working on site. I can say that the folks at Alive give a world class service, and I can't imagine choosing anyone else to do any future solar installs for me, or my loved ones. Thanks Alive team!

I can't say enough great things about Angel and ALIVE Solar & Roofing. Angel came out to us for a roof inspection and repair in a very tight spot, where other companies wouldn't send someone out for 4 or 5 days. Angel was super friendly and professional and did a fantastic job explaining what needed repair and helped fix our roof before some incoming rains could put us in some real trouble. If you need any type of roof work or solar there's no one better for the job.

Angel from Alive Solar was so helpful! We had a very last minute roof emergency (our roof was struck by lightning!!!) and needed someone to come out as soon as possible, since it's about to rain again. He came out same day and fixed our roof, while other companies we called either didn't answer or gave us a long wait time. He was super professional, on time and did an amazing job. Will be recommending and using this company again in the future!

This is an amazing company. Led by the CEO Adam Hammil, they refreshingly provide excellence in customer service after the sale. Just think, sadly, how unique this is. Adam helped me with my refund (which is very hard to get actually) as well as trouble shooting issues with my Tesla app as they arose. The company is ethical, excellent and here to help their clients. I could not recommend them highly enough: would give them 10 stars if that was an option. Honestly, there was almost no room for improvement! Great job Adam--you are a great leader.

I love Alive Solar, they are the ONLY solar company who would come out to see why my SDG&E bill is over $500 and I have 42 panels on my roof along with Tesla battery even though half the panels and system was installed by Sullivan Solar who is no longer in business.
Jesus came out this morning and spent 40 minutes going over my electric bill and trying to understand why it's so high when I'm using my 2 ACs only on Off Peak hours.
He went outside and had a look at the whole system including panels and realized the former owners (I got this place back in May) bought the cheapest panels available at only 150 Watt/panel rather than 200-300 Watt. I'll need to have another five 400 Watt panels installed to make it run efficiently because my house is 3400 sq ft and 2 stories, it needs the 2 HVAC to keep the place at a comfortable 68 degrees and maybe get some money back from SDG&E next year.
The first time I called Alive Solar was after business hours 2 months ago and Adam Hill (owner) offered to bring me his portable AC because I was also having air duct flow issues which kept causing my Carrier to shut down to cool off (replaced entire duct system this week) and AC is working fine now.
Alive Solar goes above and beyond in customer service and I'm looking forward to their help. Thank you Adam and Jesus! :-)

You can feel confident that this company will do everything possible to be sure that your job is done professionally and to perfection!

The home we recently purchased had some older solar panels and the panels weren't able to be monitored. Since we are in somewhat of a fire zone where SDGE turns off power occasionally during fire season, I decided we should have more solar panels as well as a couple of Tesla Power walls. I talked with 3 companies and got recommendations and estimates from each.

I spoke with Adam from Alive Solar first. I was wondering if there was a way to incorporate the old panels into the new system and monitor them as well. Adam said that wasn't a problem and suggested a way to replace the old inverter and use the older panels with the new inverter. The new solar panel arrangement was perfect. He was very knowledgable. But I needed to get other opinions.

Next, I got a quote from another company (think ""Costco""). What a disaster. The person on the phone said they couldn't integrate the old panels with the new and they would install the new system that would be totally separate. They seemed either uninformed or lazy. Also, the arrangement of the panels was totally haphazard.

The last company gave a similar recommendation as Alive Solar. However, Alive gave me 2 extra panels at a slightly reduced price.

The installation went pretty smoothly. The thing I noticed was that all of the installation crew were focused on being sure that I was totally satisfied with their work at all times. I heard ""you're the boss"" more than once and they weren't being sarcastic!

Throughout the entire process, it always seemed like the advice I was given from Adam turned out to be accurate. I felt I could trust that what he was saying was in my best interest. I'm sure that is part of the DNA of his company.
