It is with great pleasure that I write this review. Juvenal Alcocer, Jr. (and Juvenal Alcocer, Sr.) were amazing! I needed to replace my 50-year-old tile roof. There really wasn't anything wrong with it except that it was old and the insurance company was having a fit over the age. So, I started looking for a roofing contractor. As usual, much of what I found was horrible. Quotes that were about $10,000 to $15,000 too high. Contractors whose licenses could not be verified. Or companies working under someone else's contractor's license. Very sketchy. It amazes me that more people don't take the time to verify a license, but there you have it.

At any rate, I was getting a lot of bad roofers or over-priced roofers and I really wasn't happy. Then a friend of mine suggest Alco. They were in the process of replacing his roof and he was amazed at how good they were. I got their number and called and Juvenal was out the next day to give me a quote. Not only was he professional and thorough, he also gave me a quote lower than anyone else. He had several suggested items that would be additions to the price, and I saw that they were all reasonable and went with all (there were three). Even with the added costs, he was still lower than anyone else.

The biggest hurdle came in getting the tiles. He had told me it could take up to a year, so I was okay with waiting. In actuality, it took less than six months, but the amazing part was the speed at which his team worked. There is a house five doors down from me that had their roof in the process of being replaced for more than two months. Juvenal and his team replaced the roof in one week. And it looks amazing. The rain gutters took a little longer, due to the weather (it was raining, how ironic), but only about another week. The longest part was waiting for the city inspector to come out and sign off. He did and the work is done.

When I was quoted the price, it included a certain amount of plywood. There isn't any way of knowing the condition of the plywood until the roof is removed, so it's a guess. It was also amazingly close. My final cost was slightly higher than the original quote, but I had calculated an additional 10% over. It didn't come to that much.

All-in-all, I am more than happy with this work. I have a brand new roof with a ten year guarantee. Juvenal (and his father) are the greatest people to work with. His entire team are amazing and trustworthy. Their work is beautiful and quick. I just can't say enough positive things about this company.

If you need a roof, at least call Juvenal and let him give you a quote. When you meet him, you'll understand why I'm so impressed with him.
