A native of Northern California, Nick Hernandez started his roofing career in 1977 when he began roofing with Pioneer Roofing in Ukiah, CA. He spent 3.5 years there before relocating to Alaska. He spent ten years at Rain Proof Roofing in Alaska, perfecting his craft. Starting as a roofer (4 yrs.) and advancing to lead foreman (6 yrs.), he oversaw important state and government contracts. Following his time at Rain Proof, he joined Industrial Roofing Inc. (IRI) for 21 years. He started as the main foreman for 4 years, then became a Project Manager for 5 years, worked as an Estimator for residential and small commercial projects for 3 years, and finished as a Senior Estimator and Silent Partner for 9 years. While at IRI, he regularly oversaw $7 million in awarded projects each year. At the time of his departure, he had successfully estimated more than $13 million in work. Nick has continued to succeed in the roofing field.
