Mike has consistently been a great problem solver, timely and keeps me very well informed throughout the process. I have sought his advice on ancillary projects (solar vents, gutters) and he has always delivered at the highest level. We have some tricky roofing (very steep and very flat) and he has met high expectations in all cases.

After getting several bids, we used Al Rezentes Roofing to re-roof and re-coat two flat roofs due to a major roof leak. Al Rezentes Roofing was by far the most reasonable bid. Owner Mike and his company scheduled my repair quickly and I was happy to see the excellent roof work. Mike takes great pride in his work and personally inspects the work and was very responsive when minor follow up work was required.

Mike communicates well and is on top of it and I appreciate his attention to detail. I also used them to do some carpentry work because the leak damaged a beam. Their pricing for the extra carpentry work was very reasonable and I'm glad we used them and would highly recommend them for your roofing needs.

After researching roofing companies in the on the BBB website, I decided to contact Al Rezentes Roofing for a quote. They've been in business for a long time with a A+ rating.
Growing up in Kailua, I remember seeing their trucks around. Mike was thorough when inspecting and explaining the condition of the old roof. He also explained about the materials, installation procedure and life expectancy of the new roof covering. Their installers are also very friendly and did a great job!

After a windstorm severely damaged our roof, I called Mike Y. of Rezentes Roofing. We found Mike to be easy to talk to and very professional. He explained everything that needed to be done and helped us out promptly. First, Mike and the guys installed a tarp to keep the rain out of the house while we settled with the insurance company. During this time, the weather was bad, and Mike called us often to ask if the all of the leaks had stopped. One day I told him some water was still trickling in, and he arrived within the hour to go up on the roof and seal up what he could find. When the insurance money came through, Mike clearly explained what needed to be done, and gave us options for replacing the roof in terms of pricing and materials. We made our choices, and once the roofing began, it was a very quick and professional process. The crew was very polite and diligent, and they finished the entire job in just a couple of days. The roof is now watertight and looking better than ever.

We used Al Rezentes Roofing last year to completely remove the existing asphalt shingles on our roof and install new energy star asphalt shingles and 2 solar fans. From the beginning, Mike Y. was very helpful, answering all our questions and providing us with timely estimates. We had quotes from a couple other roofers and although Al Rezentes Roofing was not the lowest (not the highest either), we decided to use them, mainly because we felt comfortable that Mike was giving us honest and complete answers and because they were willing to negotiate with us.

Overall, the workers were very professional, courteous, and extremely hard working. They did a great job on our roof and Mike was very responsive to our questions. Even a year after, when my wife had some questions about whether the solar fans would hold up in the hurricanes, Mike was helpful in responding to her questions and trying to address her concerns.

Our experience with this company is that we got a good product at a reasonable price and great service.

Our roof was halfway gone after the last windstorm (hail in Hawaii?!?) So after a few quotes, Al Rezentes was near the lowest. They had replaced my brothers mother-in-law's roof and had done a good job so we went with them.
They were able to give a quote and do the job in roughly a week, and they did a good job on the roof.

The company they used to take down our 30 year old (but still working) solar water heater was very dodgy, but thats another review.


Some carpentry work needed to be done, they offered to fix it and somehow the quote for repair was $600 but went to $900 without approval.

My sister also used them to remove 3 layers of shingles and re-roof. They also did some side work fixing some wood rot related problems and charged them $1000. Its a bit hard to tell if the price was reasonable, but it seems a bit high.

Hmmmm....this company must not need the business. I submitted a request to have an estimate done to re-roof my home twice now and have not heard back from anyone. Tomorrow will make almost 2 weeks waiting.
