We engaged Al Miller Roofing (Russ) some years ago to replace our asphalt shingle roof. A great job at a fair price that has weathered very well.

When recently, we discovered that leaks from two evaporative coolers had damaged the adjacent roofing I called & spoke to one or more receptionists on three separate times over a two-week period each promising to have a tech schedule come out, examine and then repair the affected areas. I have not had a call back in now more than three weeks.

Very disappointing.

I live in Nevada. My parents needed a reliable, reputable roofing business. A friend highly recommended Al Miller. Communication via phone and email was the key. I called on Monday to schedule an estimate. Wednesday, I had it in my email box. The job was completed earlier this week. The crew was efficient. The roof looks AMAZING.... I'm the new hero in my family...

Working with Peter and his crew we had an excellent experience with All Miller & Son's Roofing. The crew replaced our casita roof and completed some additional patching on the garage and equipment well. The crew arrived on time and completed the project ahead of schedule. Peter did a wondefulf job at managing the project along with conducting a leak test at the end of the job. Thanks to Peter and the crew for helping us out.

I had a fantastic experience with this roofer 3-4 years ago. I'm shocked to see these bad reviews. They did everything they said they would do in the amount of time quoted. Brand new roof & very happy

So far i am pleased. They new i had an issue as we have a roof leak by the electrical box. They told me its a $250 fee to come out, which is high, but it goes to any work which is beneficial and also helps those that have a serious emergecy not waste time calling a million places to get someone out here. The office guy called me back almost immediately and dispatched one of his workers to come fix the issue wtihin 20 minutes. The job is not complete and will update this review at that time, but as of now its 5 stars.

I purchased a house in a gated community about 1 1/2 years ago that had the roof redone by Al Miller and Sons about 3 years ago. Apparently there is a warranty on it, for how long, I have no clue. The recent torrential rains, down pouring of water and severe winds for over 14 hours in February 2019 caused my roof to leak in several places and rooms. The HOA is responsible for the exterior of my house, and im responsible for the interior of my house according to the HOA Bylaws. So our HOA contacted this roofing company under the warranty to find and fix the leak. They were not able to find the source of the roof leak. They did complete a ""roof flood test"", which to me looked like they just ran a garden house from the top of the roof downwards for 1 1/2 hours in several places and did not find a roof leak. I do not see how this so called ""roof flood test"" is in any way comparable to the storm we had. I still have not gotten any answer for this. And the roof leak has not been fixed. We apparently have a warranty on the roof. I had to put a claim into my homeowners insurance and pay a deductible, undergo a major inconvenience by the contractors that fixed the damage, loss of use of my home while the ceiling was being fixed, etc. Furthermore, this company pulled a permit for the re-roof, which had expired, they never got it finaled by the City. A rep from this company and the City Inspector showed up at my house this morning without any warning from them nor the HOA and were up stopping around on the roof...we found out when we heard them up on the roof...very unprofessional!!! Not even a notice from our HOA either!!! Soooooo not cool!!! I still question the integrity of this roof. Sorry to say.

I agree that the person who answers the phone is a totally unhelpful rude person. If this person is related to the owners they should take note.
She would not let me talk to anyone else. I guess she runs the company. Strange since it is called Al Miller and sons.

They don't belong to the Better business Bureau. I can see why after all the reviews on this website. Stay away!


We had a leak in November 2017 and Pedro came out at a charge of $225. I was told that included replacing up to 6 tiles so I agreed. Pedro came on 11/14/17. Said he replaced six tiles that had been left on the roof. Great!

Fast forward the. First rain of the season December 5th a leak in the exact same place. We called but of course they wouldn't come because it was raining. We understood that the roof would be wet and safety was a concern. We had to call again and were scheduled for January 25th because they were busy.
They won't stand behind the repair because their guarantee was for one year which ended 11/15/2018. There hadn't been any rain in 2018 until December. How were we supposed to know it wasn't repaired? Plus there was another charge of $250 for someone to come out. Pedro came and said he would have someone call us but we have heard nothing.

It is obvious that previous customers don't count.

I think that if the owner does business like this they should go out of business. Save everyone a lot of grief.

Scheduled an appointment for a quote. They arrived, inspected the roof and said they would email a quote. We have not heard from them since after several follow ups. If they are not interested in the job could they not have the honesty to say so. Miserable customer service and a total waste of time.

I called them to get a quote for a roof. I left a message and they never called back, so I called them again. The lady that answered the phone was fairly rude...interrupted me, did not apologize for not calling back and then proceeded to tell me it would be a MINIMUM of $250 just to come see our roof.....in 5 weeks. Why would anyone give them their business?

Moved on and will not call back.

A customer should not have to call multiple times to inquire about giving this firm business. After three failed attempts to obtain a re-roof quote I gave up. I suggest you choose another vendor as well. If they are not responsive in the beginning, how with their follow up be? Or how will they be at honoring a warranty?

The discourteous office manager/bookkeeper should be kept for interface with customers.
