Had this company install a new metal roof and solar panels. I was promised to have. A "" next to nothing electric bill.""
I am paying more money now than I was before they were installed. My electric bill with $600 a month and my new roof and solar payment was supposed to be $700 a month. Wiping out my electric bill completely. Now I am paying $700 a month and a $300 electric bill. It's been six months and all they do is keep asking for FPL bills and promising me they will fix the problem and add more panels and now I can't get them to return any phone calls.
I am paying over $1000 a month now
This company has nothing but lies. Definitely do not recommend and I should've listened to the reviews before I hired them. But they assured me that those reviews were with the old owners of the company and that they were since taken over and that things were different now.

We had signed up with this company. A lot of red flags went up, so we decided to cancel the contract. It was only a week or so out from signing, no permits were filed for and yet we were told they were. When we asked again, they said they misunderstood, that it was a mistake. Our sales rep Angel Fleites went ""Sybil"" on our butts. Stating that since we were past the 7 day window we would have to pay a $2500 fee to cancel the contract. She actually had the nerve to state in writing along with a lot of other harassing emails and text: Hello Thomas and Jimmy,

I am willing to waive your $2,500 cancellation fee for your contract with Affordable Solar Roof & Air now, if you go ahead and delete ALL the negative reviews you have posted on ALL sources on us and me.

I posted a review showing exactly what had happened. Then she sent me a text stating:

""In my personal opinion, I want you guys to have to pay the fee because I think you're in the wrong. But our leadership is advising that I can waive that fee for you if you delete all the negative reviews you posted. If you can do that, we will cancel out your contract at no fee. Otherwise you're still going to be held liable. Let me know what you wanna do.""

So I did delete them, until I got an email from the loan company weeks later asking to set up auto-pay for the loan payment. I personally had to send in emails and copies of the text, stating that it was cancelled. STAY far away from this company and especially from Angel. She is mental! After reposting this review, I go SEVERAL threatening emails from Angela Fleites stating that I now owe $2500.00 and their lawyers would be in contact. She sent over 10 emails in less than an hour. Oh, and who knows how many text! It is now turning into harassment. I can't believe that this is how this company is ran. Well... Hi ho, Hi, ho, its harassment charges we go!

My experience has been absolutely horrible with Affordable Solar Roof and Air.  I never try to write a poor review for a company. I know from owning a company how hard it is to please everyone; however, it's been 3 weeks and I've heard nothing from the main office. There comes a point when a company is so bad that you hope by writing a review that someone else doesn't make the same mistake you did. The problem with choosing a solar company is that you're stuck with them for a long time, so don't be like me and choose wisely. 
I've had a lot of issues but I'll list two I'm dealing with right now so I don't have to  type a book out. One was when the system was sold to me, the other was with the install or lack thereof. 1. I was sold that 3 batteries would be able to run my two a/c units, the first day on install the electrician said it's not possible.  The only response I got from the main office is, oh there was miscommunication with the salesman and the office, so you'd have to  buy another battery for it to run both a/c units. I ended up buying another battery reluctantly.   I know miscommunication happens so I decided to see past it.  I lose power frequently and guess what still doesn't work during the power outage, my A/C.  At this point it seems like they played me just like a used car salesman, so beware. I would get everything in writing before signing anything with this company. 
2. I've had my system somewhat operational for  2 months and have had nothing but problems. I've had  Affordable Solar roof and Air come out 4 times because they didn't finish the install. It seems like there is a huge breakdown in communication. The office has no idea what the ground crews are doing, so I hear two different stories from two different people. They finally told me the install was complete about a month ago. Day 1 after the install is complete I realize  it's far from complete.  I've now had 4 endphase technicians come to my house to figure out the problem. They've told me that Affordable Solar wired my system wrong which is why I'm having all these problems. Which means they have to come back out to either fix it or rewire the system. How a ""professional"" company doesn't know to wire the system they are selling is pathetic. What's worse is there is no plan, there is no communication, there is no care on their end to resolve this issue. I have been very patient and understanding but this is just unprofessional. There is no way this company will last the length of the warranty so I'd choose a more reliable company.

I purchased solar from them and went with the ""critter guard"" , the guy said it would keep leaves etc out from under the panels. well the critter guard lasted about a year before it fell apart, contacted the company and after about 4 months they finally sent someone out to replace it , he finished about 2/3 of the panels and ran out of mesh, said he'd be back on Monday, that was 2 1/2 months ago or longer, I keep texting and asking about it but they are blowing me off, ready to contact lawyer and see what they can do about it. HORRIBLE customer service!

My name is Daniel Santiago, I want to share my experience with Affordable Solar with my solar panel Company, I installed my system 2 years ago, At first everything went well, like any sale. They designed my system based on what I needed in my house. They made me three proposals, the last one they presented to me included a new air conditioning unit. I signed the last one under false pretenses, since they promised me that if I put in the new air conditioning unit, I wouldn't have to put in such a big system for my house. According to them, I needed a system that would cover 85% of my consumption, and the other 15% would be covered by the unit, since it was a super efficient air conditioning unit. That hasn't happened here. They promised me five more panels if I didn't meet my needs. I've been calling them, but they haven't answered that. I referred two clients to them, because I understood that they were a serious company, but they didn't do the same to them. The Salesperson that sold me the system no longer works with them, because AFFORDABLE SOLAR usually does this to clients. FOOLING THEM! I share my experience so that other people do not fall for the AFFORDABLE SOLAR scam!! I'm seeing multiple 5 stars towards affordable solar like I had, I'd like to know what those same people think in 2 years, I guarantee they'll think the same as me!

They came out to give an estimate and my husband forgotten about the appointment. I apologized. The sales guy Tony decided to get nasty and abrasive because this had happened prior (again not me) then he started yelling amd called me a bitch as he walked away. Unbelievable. Sorry TONY.... you're fired before you were even hired. Apparently he is a Regional Manager. Wow.

What a wonderful experience. Angel was knowledgeable and friendly. She explained everything clearly and made sure that my husband and myself totally understand the financial options and the equipment. WOW! Only $25 a month for an electric bill. Going from an average of $231.00 a month to that is awesome. We are so happy and excited about our Solar panels along with our Tesla Powerwall! We were looking into purchase a whole home generator and due to our rocks and water under our property make it really difficult. No digging up my yard. No replacing sod. No burying a 500 gallon propane tank, no natural gas tank, no fuel to buy and worry about running out. We are so very happy! Good quality and service at your fingertips. Best of all value convenience & and very low electric bill of just $25 a month. The customer service , Angie and Joe were amazing! These folks have wonderful rating on Dun and Bradstreet, Better Business Bureau and other venues of reviews. Wonderful company and staff!

Financing is a lie, do not trust.
Some polite young person comes over with all programmed lies and sell you a live long debt you cannot pay enough to get this loan paid off. The tax credit is good but not what they tell you it will be. Do not trust speak to a tax expert first.

If you are thinking of getting
solar panels, I highly suggest you continue to look for a more reputable company. Affordable Solar is basically a SCAM. I did not do my homework on this company, and if you are reading this, I hope you didn't do what I did, checking the reviews after the fact. This company's customer service is horrible, I should have seen the red flags from the day they delivered my panels without informing me, as I was away from home. That's just the beginning of the nightmare.
The rep who estimated the panels of use for my house, under estimated so now i'm paying for my panels and high electric bill, so I am not saving any money. I have gone back and forth with their reps only to be ignored and lied to. If you don't believe me go read the complaints on the Better BusinessBureau website, I am shocked this company has not been shut down!! keep looking for references that have anything positive to say about Affordable Solar.
