They came out to give an estimate and my husband forgotten about the appointment. I apologized. The sales guy Tony decided to get nasty and abrasive because this had happened prior (again not me) then he started yelling amd called me a bitch as he walked away. Unbelievable. Sorry TONY.... you're fired before you were even hired. Apparently he is a Regional Manager. Wow.

Going from an average of $231.00 a month to that is awesome. We are so happy and excited about our Solar panels along with our Tesla Powerwall! We were looking into purchase a whole home generator and due to our rocks and water under our property make it really difficult. No digging up my yard. No replacing sod. No burying a 500 gallon propane tank, no natural gas tank, no fuel to buy and worry about running out. We are so very happy! Good quality and service at your fingertips. Best of all value convenience & and very low electric bill of just $25 a month. The customer service , Angie and Joe were amazing! These folks have wonderful rating on Dun and Bradstreet, Better Business Bureau and other venues of reviews. Wonderful company and staff!
Jerry W.Solar panel works fine, service not so much. After installation you have to chase them down via email and phone messages if you have any questions.
Financing is a lie, do not trust.
Some polite young person comes over with all programmed lies and sell you a live long debt you cannot pay enough to get this loan paid off. The tax credit is good but not what they tell you it will be. Do not trust speak to a tax expert first.
If you are thinking of getting
solar panels, I highly suggest you continue to look for a more reputable company. Affordable Solar is basically a SCAM. I did not do my homework on this company, and if you are reading this, I hope you didn't do what I did, checking the reviews after the fact. This company's customer service is horrible, I should have seen the red flags from the day they delivered my panels without informing me, as I was away from home. That's just the beginning of the nightmare.
The rep who estimated the panels of use for my house, under estimated so now i'm paying for my panels and high electric bill, so I am not saving any money. I have gone back and forth with their reps only to be ignored and lied to. If you don't believe me go read the complaints on the Better BusinessBureau website, I am shocked this company has not been shut down!! keep looking for references that have anything positive to say about Affordable Solar.
I requested a quote for solar on a generic website and was flooded with calls to install solar on my house. Most of the companies that called were courteous and called, left a voicemail, and a text. This company called 7 times and counting at this point in a matter of 2 hours. Based on the other reviews ive read about this company their time would likely be better spend on helping their current customers who have had issues with their service...
I highly recommend Affordable Solar Roof and Air! Matt M, my sales representative was very knowledgeable and thorough in explaining everything to me. He was super patient, not pushy and actually wanted to help me get the best choice and price. Refreshing. Most companies are very pushy.
The install guys were easy to schedule with and blew me away with how efficiently they worked. I've never done solar before, from what I read, the most common problem is roofing issues. My roof is a fragile tricky clay tile but Affordable Solar was able to do it no problem (another company I interviewed came all the way out to me to tell me they couldn't do my roof).
I have had several big rainstorms and no leaks. It helps that Affordable Solar is roofing company as well. Their prices and warrantees were top class. 25 years. Very reassuring.
Another big plus was the dedicated interconnection department. They dealt with all the Duke Electric company bureaucracy. They handed all the hard work and never had me wondering what was next. I never had to check in on anything. That was amazing!
Finally, the exit interview process covered any remaining questions and safety concerns which I thought was nice closure to the experience.
I met with lots of companies before ultimately choosing ASRA. I am glad I did. Great pricing, great install, great service, easy process!
they were good in the beginning, until they got your business, now there is no customer service. they don't answer the phone. and you don't know whom you can call. when you text them they say they will take care of the problem, but nothing happens
Absolute worst company I've had to deal with. 2 month job took over 6 months to complete. Roofing job is mediocre, and not sealed around vents. Electrical cuts off randomly at certain parts of the house. They changed the solar panel layout while installing, then promised to install 2 extra panel to compensate, but 3 months with no reply. One of the breaker boxes installed on the house is not sealed and had INCHES of water sitting in so that all needs replaced. Avoid this company at all costs because the customer service is the worst I've ever seen.
have always been a naysayer about solar for many years. However, this year I decided to give it a try. I had my solar installed in Sept 2022. I live in Florida. I had 4 companies come over and pitch me quality Solar systems that were very good quality at a higher price. When our salesman (Tony Samaan) for this company sat with us he pitched us a solar system that seemed reasonable. All the solar companies I had come over added in a ""buffer"" in case their so their wouldn't be a shortage of solar generation. I asked for mine to have enough to charge an EV that I was getting.
Well, the first month passed and I paid a bill and I wasn't even charging my EV yet. Each month that went by I was paying an electric bill. (See photo of all the bills up till this month). So I told Tony, we are paying an electric bill on top of the 92 dollars each month for the solar. I sent him all the bills and info. It took a while, but Tony got back to me after sending the info to the owner after approximately 1.5 to 2 months. He simply stated that you are using more electricity. We haven't changed our habits in the house except watching more television. We even had all our lighting switched to LED. I wasn't charging the car much in the house and did it less and less to bring the bill down.
So I asked Tony to reach out to the owner to see if he could at least add a few solar panels at cost, if not free. I still haven't received a response.
Somewhere in all of this the ""buffer"" that was built in doesn't even cover the increased electricity much less an electric car.
So this month I received my Feb 23 bill and it was close to the kw usage as Feb 22. I still paid 99 dollars out of what would have been 147 dollars. What makes it worse is that I had to pay the solar bill at 92 dollars a month. So that is more than I would have paid if I just paid the regular electric bill without Solar. (See attached Feb 23 bill. )
When this was pitched to me, I was told they were a good company and would make things right if there was an issue. There was an issue and I got little to no solutions presented to me and strained communication. I even offered some ideas.
But there was supposed to be a buffer for this and an electric car. I don't charge an electric car here anymore and still I'm paying quite a bit. Somewhere, something went wrong. I really tried to come up with a solution, waited for responses. Just one answer from them, you use more electricity.
Not - ""something went wrong with our calculations"" or ""the buffer wasn't calculated right"". Or even ""well, we stand by our customers and let's try to make this right"". Nothing!
They have a lot of good reviews because they encourage good reviews. And I'm certain there are happy customers. But my experience is that this not the company I was led to believe that stood by its customers.
The owner/manager is probably gonna respond to this review with some stuff about their good reviews and all their happy customers. How much more my usage was, or something about calling them to make it right. I don't expect them to make it right at this point. Additionally, I told others that this company will take care of you and they are fair. I regret it.

No one who spends 10s of thousands of dollars on a solar system should be treated this way when there is a problem. I wish I had gone to a more nationally known company.
