I Had a recent roof leak on my home with tile roof. Geno was recommended to me by 2 different locals that had good things to say. Geno got back to me and scheduled an appointment - was early and gave me a fair price to start the work. He started the following Monday and he and his crew showed up when they said they would. He followed up every step of the way and was a pleasure to work with.

I'm not sure why the bad reviews. I'm really glad I didn't read them before hiring Geno, and Advanced Roofing. Here's my experience. Last year we called because we had a roof leak of course when it was raining. I called several contractors and was very discouraged. 1 said I needed a complete new roof even though mine was only 7 years old. When Advanced came out he found that it was leaking where the chimney came out of the roof. Geno resealed the area at a very reasonable price. He did tell me that it looked like I might have the same issue where a vent is located. Of course I thought maybe he was trying to upsell me so I said no thanks. Geno was very gracious and still was an incredible price I was happy. Well about a month later it starts to leak in the other spot. Now my significant other got on the roof with Geno both times so he saw first hand the difference in the work of the first roofer and that of Geno's. We were so impressed we thought we should just get a quote to redo the entire roof again. We were so surprised Advanced quote was less than the one we did 7 years prior. The guys were courteous, respectful, and very importantly cleaned up after themselves. My new roof is beautiful. I know the work is to notch because my over protective BF was up there bugging the guys almost daily because he didn't want the same problem as before. I'm sure it was annoying but Advanced was professional and patient. I'd recommend Geno to anyone for big or little jobs they are great.

I was initially very impressed with Geno. Great at communicating and helping me understand various options for a small rooftop deck. So I felt comfortable booking him. Then once the job was into the 2nd day he told me the price had gone from $3500 to $5075. Which was a 31% increase. The reason for the increase is that he was going to have to remove some pieces of plywood. He used less than 1 piece of of OSB plywood. I don't appreciate the dramatic price increase for not that much work. Then he asked for payment, however upon inspection the artificial turf that he put on had big gaps. He did come over to fix those. I wish he would have caught it instead of me.

They did a wonderful job repairing our roof and replacing some wood eaves. They found some shingles that matched our roof so it doesn't look like a patch job. The crew was efficient, knowledgeable and cleaned up after. The price was reasonable for all the work they did. I would highly recommend.

If you want a reliable roofing company to take care of your roofing needs DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT call this company. Geno put a roof on our home in 2000. It started to leak in 2007. After MANY phone calls and NO call backs we used a friends phone number, coincidentally Geno answers and makes and appointment with this ""new customer"". He showed up at our home and was embarrassed that it was the same family. He did a half a$$ job on the repair, and said it was ""top quality"". Our insurance broker came out, due to the same leak and said it was not properly repaired. Our insurance company says our roof is leaking due to faulty workmanship. To this day Geno still does NOT answer our phone calls. Horrible horrible customer service!!!! If I could give negative stars, I would!!

I was referred to Advanced Roofing through my neighbor and I have also seen there big red truck around town since I was a kid. We wanted to also try and do business in town supporting our local merchants but I am still waiting for a call back from Gino. They lost an opportunity and we have since chosen another contractor to re-roof. Customers should not have to beg like a dog to get someone to come out, and if someone says they have a leak on a roof in town, that should be a great sign they may need a new roof. Or, perhaps the company is just too busy with other call backs and roofing jobs to take on another project or to have the common courtesy to follow through on what they say.

Bet at least 2 of the positive reviews are fake.

I'm a Realtor and recommend Advanced Roofing to all of my clients. The owner, Gino, has helped us out with even small jobs that probably were not worth his time. I can send him out to a job and not even be present as I know from experience, Gino is very honest, they do good work, and their prices are reasonable. For example, the most recent job for a client/Seller's home in West Covina happened while we were in escrow and it was noted that the roof was in need of repair. Advanced Roofing discovered the problem. They remedied the situation by removing and replacing two Dormer Vents and re-sealed around the chimney. The bill with labor and parts was $675.00. Then, during one of our recent raining spells, our patio roof leaked. I text Gino and he sent out a couple of his guys to fix the problem. Advanced Roofing to the rescue!
