After initially thinking Troy and ARS were great, he has proven to be another of the flakey, unprofessional contractors that seem to be typical in Truckee. He had to come back twice to fix a leak from the intitial job and shoddy work - even once going to the wrong house to do the repair (seriously!). I gave him a second chance, and we discussed for 6 months another roof leak repair after a re-siding project by another contractor- He gave me an estimate, and told me he would do it. For months it was always ""We'll get to it."" Well, looking at the weather in October I started to leave him emails, voicemails, and texts - he never responded. So there is a foot of snow on the roof now and I have more leaks to look forward to. It would have been fine if he told me months ago he wasn't going to have time so I could try to line someone else up, but to not even have the courage or respect to call me back after telling me he would do it gives you a glimpse of who he is. Now the original leak on the first roofing job is going again - and he still isn't picking up. Unprofessional, flakey, and shoddy work on top of it all. What an embarrassment.

Honest and Responsive! Came out to check out what I thought was a problem with my roof, which not every roofer will take the time to do. Was honest to explain that my roof was okay and not rack up unnecessary charges. Highly recommend!

We added an addition to our home in Tahoe Donner and subsequently had problems with ice damns building up on the northern exposure/ valley which leaked into our new Master Bath. We hired Troy and team at Advanced Roofing Solutions and he and his team were able to fix the original installation (done by another contractor) in several days at a very reasonable cost. We had this work done several years ago and have gone through several major winters and it is still tight as a drum. ARS evaluated the cause of the problem, recommended a corrective repair and fixed it once and for all. I highly recommend Troy and his guys, they are fast, professional and do the job right the first time!

Troy has been a total flake. I have never had worse service. He was referred to me by my realtor and agreed to meet to do an estimate on my house in alpine for a new roof this fall. He rarely responds to texts and has been extremely unprofessional. Terrible customer service. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I called on a Friday morning during ski skate week around 9 as my ceiling was dripping and Troy answered his phone and came to our house before 10, despite holiday ski traffic. He quickly recognized the problem and his guys were here to fix it before noon. He was very nice and straightforward and easy to talk to and the guys who came to our house were friendly and efficient and we've had no more issues.

A positive experience and I recommend this company for the following reasons:
I have a house near Lake Tahoe that needed a new roof. I had received several estimates and Troy's bid was very competitive with the others. The thing that my wife and I liked the most was the confidence we immediately had in him on our first meeting. He listened to what we said, gave us a bid, talked to us in a manner that helped us through the process. We also purchased an ice melt system from Bylin Engineering and Troy's crew had the necessary skills and experience to do a good job on that as well. Owner, Troy, is congenial, easy to talk with, and knowledgeable - a guy with lots of experience. He worked for another roofing company for about ten years, then formed his own company in 2007. Only two of his roofers did the entire job. They were professionals who took pride in their work (Herles and Alfredo). They appeared to be careful and thoughtful the entire time. Overall I rate this company in the top ten percent of all contractors I have ever dealt with in my life.
