They came out and did my roof 11 yrs ago and I have had zero problems. About 5 years ago I had a solar tube installed (not by them) and sure enough, it started to leak about 2 years ago. After trying with moderate success to patch it up myself for two seasons, this year I gave them a call. Dave (owner) came out to assess on a Thursday, work was completed on the following Friday -- all this at a time (October) when roofers are in high demand. They are professional, courteous, clean and quick. Highest marks.

Advanced Roofing is amazing!!! I have so much pride in my own business and team and how we operate as a well oiled machine, and Advanced Roofing is no different. Dave, Dave Jr, April and their entire team at Advanced Roofing are so organized, speedy, professional, and knowledgeable at what they do. They did all three of our roofs in four days!! They had a huge crew, dump trucks, guys showing up to deliver materials so the crew could keep working. All the guys worked so well with each other and all of them were so kind and happy the whole time! I have no idea how they did such beautiful and detailed work that quickly but we are so happy with the roofs and how they turned out. The quality is amazing and the expedience of it all was very much appreciated too. We highly recommend Advanced Roofing.

They are very sought after though, so do keep that in mind when booking them. They book out, but they're worth it!!

Before reading this post this roofing company will state the following, which to me is a cop-out ""Please be advised that when tearing off roofing, the possibility exists that dust or debris may enter the attic/interior space. It is the owners' responsibility to cover or remove valuables stored in the attic/interior spaces. Loose wall or ceiling fixtures should also be secured"" We recently went up to attic to do a home inspection and found a bunch of left over debris from the roof tear out they did. We understand that they are not responsible for attic clean up but an experienced roof remover would have placed tarps inside the attic for easy removal and pride themselves that they will not leave a mess. This roof was done a year ago, they probably figured no one goes up there anyway. See pictures attached. They are not taking any kind of responsibility and this is poor workmanship, they should do their best to keep your customers happy. If you want a clean job use someone that will clean up after they are done and guarantee they will meet your expectations in clean up. You will be stuck with a major expense! Don't use this company.

Horrible, horrible customer service. I attempted to use this company and was absolutely shut down from even a conversation about the project. They decided from first email they were not going to work with me and made very rude responses in subsequent emails when I tried to explain the project. Don't waste your time on these people.

This company has very unprofessional customer service. I just called to request a quote for my roof in Concord, and the woman on the phone greeted me so rudely, and when I told her that I was in Concord, she said that the company doesn't even serve homes in Concord, even though the Good Service Guide states that they serve the East Bay. Without apology, she said that Concord isn't in the East Bay! It's one thing to mislead your potential clients and not serve all of the cities in the East Bay, but it is a completely other beast to claim that Concord isn't even in the East Bay when it clearly is! I wouldn't recommend this company.

I honestly had a very good experience working with Advance Roofing. I am an architect and know a few things about roofing. I am very satisfied with how this job turned out.

They gave us a quote to do the work and were very competitive. I was only talking to high-end roofers that had a good reputation, and I was looking for an outfit that understood the special problems that come with a 100 year old home. They were upfront about what was included in the contract pricing and what wasn't (there was the potential for dry rot repair in at least one area of our home).

Everyone I dealt with in this process was very helpful. That includes the office staff, the owner (who also did a bit of work), the manager who quoted the job and came out for inspections (and also did a bit of work), the carpenters who were needed to repair our porch, the roofers, and the gutter guy.

They guarantee their work for five years, but I expect this roof to last a long time.

Now, let me make a few general comments about the roofing experience. It is hard to get contractors to come out to your home during the winter, because they are overwhelmed with emergencies. I was told by some that they couldn't come out to quote the job for months. Just be prepared and don't wait to the last minute.

Once you do have a contract, you will be put in a queue. We signed a contract in December and the work happened in April. Advanced offered to put temporary tarps up if necessary for our leaks in the interim.

Schedules change- they actually came the week before the date we had agreed to, probably because of a cancellation. They called me that morning and were on site in an hour. Because roofers are behind and always dealing with the current weather, they need to jump in when they can. You need to be flexible.

I was very concerned about the mess of ripping the roof off of the house. They tried to be neat and did a great job, I think, but that doesn't mean there wasn't stuff on the ground. It is inevitable. And for the reviewer who was mad about the junk in her attic, I know that roofers don't to that automatically. If you have to take the roof down to the joists and start with new plywood, your attic is going to be a disaster, and you will need to discuss your options with the roofer in advance.

Hope that will help all of you out there. Good luck!

First and last time I am dealing with this company. April, who answers the phone has no customer service skills. John and David never get back to you when you leave messages.
