I purchased a new roof and paid extra for an extended life expectancy. I noticed dry rot on the facia and thought it wasn't related to the roof. My neighbor was having a roof put on so I thought I would get an estimate to replace the facia. He told me it looked like a roof leak. I was shocked since it was a relatively new roof. He stated his company gives a 12 year warranty but most roofing companies give a 10 year.
Chris came out and agreed it was a roof leak. He told me the roof was no longer under warranty. It was 4 months out of warranty but you could clearly see the leak originated well before 4 months. They quoted me significantly more than a competitor company to repair the roof. I hired another contractor to make the repair and was told I had 4 current leaks due to rot located in the facia.
Today, I am having issues with another leak which is leak 5 needing to be repaired. All the leaks were in different areas of the house. I paid extra for roof materials expecting to get 35 plus years of worry free problems. This has to be the worst craftsmanship and customer service. I am going to seek legal advise!

i too bought a brand new GL home, who subcontracts to Action Roofing. Their roof jobs are TERRIBLE. Tiles sliding right off the roof within a year and 3 years later STILL having problems with tiles. stay away from this bottom of the barrel company

Surprise Charges & Poor Customer Service = Disappointment with Action Roofing Services.
While I've never posted a negative review, I feel roof buyers should be wary of Action Roofing Services. In replacing a roof for our 1,200 Sq ft home we had a bid that began at $19,872.00. After contracting we were advised we need to add clips for an additional $2,325.00 and accepted this proposal totally $22,197.00. That was just the beginning. Once the old roof removed and the new roof was being installed. Our salesperson, Chris Clark phoned and asked if I was sitting down. I said yes and sat down. He advised that the next check required was $16,041.50, not $7000 as contracted for Mop-In. A shocking staggering difference of $6,716.00 for additional wood and more clips that was not disclosed during the job. Concerned and caught unaware I called Charlie an owner of Action Roofing Services and explained the situation. A day later and several dollars short, I was offered a $500 credit to rectify their poor management and lack of communication during our roof replacement. A roof that began at under $20K, approved at $22K ended up costing $28,913.00 - $500 =
$28,413.00.

Action Roofing is a company I wouldn't hire to put a roof on my dog house. We bought a very expensive new construction home from GL Homes. They sub-contract to Action Roofing services and with the first heavy rain we had water pouring into the guest bathroom. A GL Construction manager looked at the problem and determined that it as a ""goose neck vent"" that was never sealed. Action hires people who are not actual employees most probably because I've seen various panel vans with a magnetic sign from Action Roofing slapped on the side, OH! by the way the sub-sub worker never removed the signage from the the dry cleaner he bought the van from. I've watched the roofing on many other GL Homes and it's clear that the workers are most probably day workers with no real skills.
