After failed attempts to get a roofer out to my home to check on broken tiles, worn out flashing, etc., I contacted ACS Roofing and they were out to my house to inspect the roof the next day. They are very organized, dependable and honest. I would most definitely recommend ACS for any roof repair, replacement or whatever you need. Thank you ACS for eliminating the worry regarding my roof.

About 2 weeks ago I called 2 roofing companies for estimates on some repair work I needed on my roof. Both were local (Elk Grove) based companies as we like to support local family businesses. Only one company returned my call and that was ACS. My appt. was set for the owner Mark Tate to come out, inspect my entire roof and bid out the work needed. Once I received the roof report and bid our repairs were scheduled for the following week. We have a tile roof that is 25 yrs old and needed maintenance. Tile roofs last quite a long time with occasional maintenance which this roof hasn't seen much of. The workers, Kenny & Rudy arrived on time and were very polite. They took pictures of the damage and repairs and I received those photos in an email within 2 days with an invoice. We could not be happier with the service and the entire experience and we intend to continue using ACS for all,of our roofing maintenance.

As they did with someone else they don't seem to want to give me an estimate. I guess with the 5 star rating they have (or had before this 1 star review) they have so much business they don't need ours. When you have a 5 star business rating you need to maybe try harder to keep it.

When we called we were given a date for them to come out. They called and needed to reschedule. They were coming tomorrow, but they just called to reschedule again. Seriously?

I just checked out the other reviews and with a couple of exceptions all those 5 stars reviews are written by people with an average of writing 2 reviews. I think there are many fake reviews for this company. I'm asking Alex the Yelp Sacramento Community Director to check it out.

ACS was recommended to us by our insurance company. They came out and did a full roof inspection, quoted us for each individual thing that needed to be repaired and provided an explanation and pictures for ALL of it. When I contacted them about financing, they were quick and helpful and willing to work with us on payments (they even went back to amend some stuff when it turned out there was some extra cost in our roof work due to dry rotting).

They have been excellent and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!

Had used ACS for a roof repair several years ago and referred my mother-in-law and several friends and acquaintances for the same. ACS appeared to do good work at a decent price. At least until this most recent occasion when my mother-in-law's house was up for sale after she moved into assisted living. The realtor contacted ACS for a roof inspection since they had done the repair on her roof a couple of years back. The inspection produced a list of repairs and maintenance items along with an estimate of $2,685 (less $129 inspection fee), plus an additional $285 (yikes!) for a 2 year certification/warranty.
Well, having been satisfied with their work in the past, we contracted with them to complete the repairs and maintenance items. They were on time, and it took a 2 person crew about 3 hours and a minimal amount of materials to complete the job. Let's just say that I was shocked at how quickly they were done and the cost for the work that was actually done. These were not complicated tasks as it turned out. The explanation from Amos at ACS was that they ""perform contracted repair work by the job, and not by the hour."" That's fine, but how about a realistic estimate for the job that you will be performing! The original estimate sheet does note an hourly rate of $108 per man hour for additional work, so there seems to be some basis for a rate built into the cost. Their claimed ""value of the total repair work"" went right out the window with this job.
What I have learned from this experience is that additional estimates are a good thing, and never accept an estimate that is just a lump sum for a list of tasks. I would highly recommend that you request a detailed explanation of each task to be performed and a list price for each individual task before agreeing to anything, as the pest control company provided for other work that they performed at the house. Too come up with a lump contract price for this job in the first place, it would seem that they would have to put a value on each task to arrive at that total sum. There was no real logic to how this price was arrived at.
As a result of this experience, they have lost a customer in me. Hope your experience is better.

Recently called ACS Roofing to inspect our roof after the latest heavy rain season. Chose them after seeing the favorable reviews on Yelp. The owner Mark Tate came out to do the initial inspection. I told him there were two areas I wanted him to look at because of some slight staining on our ceiling in two areas. He indicated he would take a look at the entire roof, take some pictures and give me a report. Within a few days, I received an email with his inspection report with pictures showing areas that would need some attention. It was a very good report where I could clearly see some areas needing some work. He indicated the roof was in generally good condition (the roof is almost 20 years old) but needed some care. Along with the inspection report, I also received a proposal to take care of the deficiencies he found. I called a day or so later and told him I would like to move forward with the proposed work. We scheduled a convenient time a few weeks later to complete the work.

A crew of 4 people came out as scheduled. We talked about the work a little and they got started right away. Everyone was very polite and professional. Each seemed to have a specific job and moved quickly. They actually performed more work than I thought they would. And they finished within about 4 to 5 hours. They cleaned up after and the roof looks a lot better. Although the cost was higher than I initially thought it would cost, based on the amount of work performed and the quality, I think it was a fair price.

Roof repair isn't something you do often but i think I made a good choice in chosing ACS and would highly recommend them. The inspection report with pictures was very helpful so make to get this.

This is the second time I asked them to service my roof. I've met both Mark, the owner and his son Amos. They both were very professional and the job was finished in a timely manner. I called the office and was able to make an appointment, looked at the problem and the next day I get an email suggesting what I should get done and also recommended other issues that they saw when they inspected the roof if I wanted it to get fixed also. When I agreed on the contract they sent a Project Manager right away and my leaking roof was fixed in a two hours before another storm came through that evening. I would recommend there business because they were reliable and very professional.

ACS roofing is very professional and honest company. The owner Mark came out and did the roof inspection, took pictures of work we needed to have done. He explained in detail the procedures they would follow. The work was done in the time frame that we agreed on. From beginning to end everything went perfect.
We will definitely be calling them for any roofing problems in the future.

Gave a one star because zero was not an option. Made an appointment a MONTH ago. Took off work. Received a call five minutes prior to expected time the ACS Mark was to show up.
He couldn't make it. They were willing to a fly over the house and then email an estimate; however, nothing could be done until spring. I believe I mentioned I made the appointment a month ago.
NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. COMPLETE DISREGARD FOR CUSTOMER. A FRAUD.
