I had a leaking light-well that probably had not been addressed since the house was built 100 years ago. These guys completely gutted the space down to the wood, upgraded the drain, and reinstalled modern roofing materials. They even put asphalt shingles up the sides behind the siding to insure waterproofing. They arranged plumber and all details.

Can I call a roof install sexy?

Hard working, very professional and friendly crew who work clean. I have no doubt it will not leak again in 30 years.

Acme Roofing was recommended to us by a neighbor who was very pleased with their work. David Dissmayer, the owner, did a thorough examination of our roof which had not been repaired or replaced for 11 years. His estimate was fair, and he explained everything that he would do to repair the deteriorating edges, replace missing shingles, and apply silicone to the part of the roof that wasn't shingles. He and his crew were excellent! They showed up on time; cleaned up thoroughly, and finished in 3 days. David was very creative about replacing shingles that had faded in color by borrowing shingles from the north side of the roof that didn't show, putting them in the front of the roof, and using new shingles on the north side. He also recommended a good painter with whom he has worked in the past, and we've hired him to paint our house now that the roof is done. We can't say enough good things about Acme Roofing!

I would like to yelp about Acme Roofing Company. This January and February 2017, during the weeks of heavy rain, there was water entry into our rental property causing the hardwood floor to buckle. Numerous contractors came to take a look at the problem but only Dave Westcott of Acme Roofing Company who was able to figure out what was happening. He proceeded to estimate the repair, schedule the work and get it done in a reasonable time frame. I am so thankful that I chose Acme Roofing Company. Other contractors would have let me pay them to do a bad job but I got a first-class job for my investment. I would use Acme Roofing Company again, in a heart beat, for any future roofing jobs.

Acme responded immediately to a crisis--leak from the copper Dutch gutters. Came out the next morning! Very pleased with prompt service and their approach to fix the problem-- the gutters from 1996, not the roof from 2009.

I'm a retired contractor, coming from a family of contractors, so I know what they go through when trying to keep customers satisfied while getting the job done.

I'm also a renter here in San Francisco. Our landlord recently hired Acme to redo the roof on our apartment. Since we're ""just tenants"", there's no real reason for any contractors to go out of their way to treat us special. We're not the ones paying them, after all.

But Acme isn't your usual contractor. They have been incredibly careful and considerate about every aspect of the work they are doing on our home. They have communicated with us at every step of the job. They don't just clean up at the end of every work day, they clean up ALL day, DURING the project. Amazing!

And Dave and every one of his crew are friendly, intelligent and obviously care about the quality of the work they do. Not your usual roofing contractors by a long shot.

We also own another house in the Bay Area, and we'll be needing a new roof soon. We will definitely be hiring Acme for that job.

I have used Acme Roofing since I bought my house in 2002. Had dealt with 4 roofers at Acme and all but one man (first name begins with a C) were superb: customer service was good, response time was prompt, all my concerns put at ease, worked efficiently, cleaned up after work was completed, listed the recommended work and they were done. I asked for photos before and after, and my request was granted. The most recent roofer, David Dissmeyer, is a pleasure to work with. He responded when I complained about Mr. Roofer C not returning my calls and had an attitude. David was prompt, straight to the point, did what was right for my roof, and patiently explained his recommendations. Thanks David!

We had 3 skylights replaced. I assumed this would be a horrible project as the skylights are in a room that was added on to our house by the previous owner. Every time we have any repairs/work done in that room it turns out poorly. ACME was perfect - the job was done in less time than estimated. The workers cleaned up EVERYTHING. This was 2 days before Thanksgiving & all I could see was a big mess for the family dinner. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. Great customer service, on time delivery, great clean up & all the ""junk"" was hauled away.

I am 100% satisfied with Acme and I love Dave. He's super knowledgable and very forthright. He comes by when his guys are on the job, climbs up on the roof and personally checks out the work. He'll take you right up there if you have the nerve and show you what needs to get done. He knows the business and you get an excellent job. No BS. His guys have been with him a long time, are very experienced and super sweet too. I love this company. They are old school quality and service. Dave did my roof in 09 and it's still going strong.

NOTE: This company has THE BEST response time and THE BEST customer service I have experienced. I'm very absent minded and lose things easily so I called 3 times requesting estimates be sent and re-sent and they were super sweet and re-sent immediately with zero neg attitude. I asked them to break the estimate down by specific jobs and they did that too, without missing a beat. I think they are the Better Than Best Roofing Company. I wish all my contractors provided this level of quality and service.

I have been a customer of Acme Roofing for over 20 years and have always found their work to be first class, and the owner, David Dissmeyer to be someone who is dependable, service oriented, and most important will stand by his work.
Recently I hired Acme Roofing to waterproof an outdoor deck. Upon completion it was obvious there were several visible inconsistencies with the finished surfaced.
Without hesitation David ordered his crew back to the site and had the entire job redone from start to finish with excellent results.

In my experience, it is rare to find contractors like Acme Roofing that will stand 100% behind their work and won't hesitate to do it right.

David always responds quickly to any question and will not hesitate to come over and do a routine inspection to make sure all is well.
