When rain hit hard at the end of 2022 and into the new year, it became very clear we needed to replace our +40 year old roof. The faceboards were a water rotten mess, the attic was leaking all over, and water was dripping down the fireplace. We could no longer put it off.

I went on to Yelp to send out an APB to all the roofers who would respond. Steve at Accurate responded almost immediately and scheduled a visit. I met with 8 different roofing company reps from all over the LA County area and as far as Ventura. Unbeknownst to me, that my initial visit with Steve ended up being an incredibly valuable lesson on what to look out for when it comes to roofing scammers, thanks to his knowledge.

I didn't know much about roofing, that's for sure. Steve set me straight and gave me homework.

After determining that almost every representative I met with had: unclear intentions, lack of representation, missing licenses, uninsured laborers, too good to be true promises, and astronomically high prices, I knew right then that Steve and Accurate were the correct choice.

Steve is honest, dependable, trustworthy, and right to the point. During his initial visit he showed not only his roofing license, but also his business owners license and proof of insurance of his team. His knowledge on roofing in regards to the beach cities was blatantly apparent (why hire someone from the dry valley to work on your costal house??).

Accurate Roofing Solutions is a tight and on-point operation with friendly workers who care about the work they do. Not once did I feel like they had any disregard for my belongings and I even spotted one of the workers trying to clean some of the debris off some items I had taken out of the garage. It was obvious their team was respectful.

Any concerns or questions was just a text or phone call away and Steve would get right back to me. Midway through the job, I realized there were some additional parts of the roof I wanted replaced. This was no problem for his team and it didn't break the bank.

Speaking of which, there was zero sticker shock at the end of the job. The final price was not too far off the estimate and landed right where I expected it.

On the final day, my wife and I were thoroughly impressed with the work. In fact, it has drawn quite a lot of attention in our neighborhood of equally old houses. As the team was packing up, they sent up a drone to take a few quick aerial shots to share.

Well you can now! I interviewed four roofers for our much needed condo roof. You can really tell a lot about a guy by the size of his tape measure.

I met with Steve and he got right to work measuring and explaining the procedure for our style of roofing. Technology has changed since the last roof was put on some 50 years ago.

Steve was the only contractor that included the stairwell and elevator roofs. I later had to ask the other bidders to add that in. He also pointed out what we might expect once the old roof was ripped up.

His bid was very detailed. Explaining what any extra costs could be depending on how much rotted wood. His time frame was also the best. Other roofers were saying ""next year"".

He went over all the details of what to expect. What inconveniences the tenants should expect. He was able to get the debris off the roof quicker to help with the garage parking access.
He texted me daily updates and sent pictures of the rot that was found.

A friend had Steve and his team do a reroof on her home. She was very pleased. He was recommended to her by a neighbor who also was quite happy with her new roof. So when Steve showed up to give me an estimate I already had high recommendations from others.

We have a detached garage and for about 30 years of the 33 years we have lived in the house, a huge pine tree in our neighbors yard protected the garage from sun. When I asked Steve what he thought about the garage roof, he said it looked like it was in good shape and didn't need to be done. That was my conclusion as well. He could have said I needed to do it also, but Steve is an honest guy and he is not going to waste your money needlessly. I didn't even bother with another bidder. I felt comfortable with Steve right away.

His crew showed up on time and got us reroofed in two days and they cleaned up at the end of both days. I felt they did a really good job, so much so, that I requested even more fascia replaced, not because it was bad, but because there work, and the material they used was so good. Steve was there at the beginning and the end, as well as a few times in-between. They did excellent work at a fair price. I think you will be very pleased as I was.
