We are beyond thrilled with our re-roofing experience with Steve and Accurate Roofing. They arrived on time, cleaned up each day, and finished a couple hours AHEAD of schedule! And, when it was discovered there was additional work involved in removing our old roof, they didn't take any extra time to accomplish it -- they just added people to do the work! We couldn't be more pleased with this great job.

My insurance company required me to replace my roof, so I had the unenviable task of looking for a roofing company. I remember helping with roofing as a kid which was dangerous in retrospect so I figured it's best to leave it to the pros. After reviewing Yelp, I contacted 4 companies for quotes. My neighbor's general contractor also offered to get me a quote from his roofer. Factors I considered:
1. Roofer's C-39 License (all had this)
2. Years in business (varied a lot)
3. Labor warranty length (varied a lot)
4. Cost for roof (excludes permit and repairs) - lowest quote was definitely an outlier and I wasn't able to figure out the reason for discrepancy other than that they used a smaller Sq footage for the estimate
5. Wood replacement rates (doesn't vary much)
6. Responsiveness to initial request and follow up (all of them were)
7. Whether they came out and actually looked around on my roof (some did)
8. Whether they pulled an aerial report to calculate square footage for the estimate (all did and sent to me)

All of them offered the major roof brands (eg. GAF, Owens Corning, Certainteed) and use synthetic underlay. The more expensive quotes had very long roof warranty periods (eg 40-50 yrs) which probably isn't necessary unless you know for sure you won't move out or that your insurance won't force you to replace your roof anyway. My second choice would have been GA Roofing but the warranty period was only 5 years. America's Best has been around a long time and has a good reputation but they only offer the Owens Corning 50yr manufacturer warranty package, they didn't have other options that would fit my budget.

Steve from Accurate Roofing Solutions made it clear that he had the experience to do a great job for a fair price. He's been in the business over 20 yrs and turns out he did the roofing for one of the neighbors across the street too. He was in close communication and checked in periodically to answer my many questions and look into some different options as I was comparing quotes. Once I decided to go with his company he scheduled a date in about a month. I wasn't in a hurry so I just picked a time he was in town. The job was completed in 2 days and Steve was there every morning, the inspector signed off on the 3rd day. Everything was left tidy after work was completed. I just noticed they even made the pipes sticking out of my roof match the color of my shingles! And removed a weird pipe that wasn't in use anymore. My other neighbor just asked me for a referral, his rental property is in the same situation (insurance forcing them to change the roof) so I gave him Steve's contact info.

I had my roof done by them. I had three quotes and theirs was the lowest of all three.

Even factoring in the cost of additional lumber after discovering issues with the existing plywood and fascia that had not been revealed until after the shingles had been stripped, they came out the lowest price.

Also, they advised me on things that had to be done to pass inspection (missing vents, etc). Everything is done to code, no shortcuts taken, and this resulted in far less headache (passed inspection the first time).

They are typically booked out a couple months in advance so that is the only thing I would keep in mind. When they work on your roof, though, it is 100% the centre of attention, and they don't pull people off until that part of the job is done.

TL;DR version - roof good, company good, no hassles. I highly recommend them for any roofing project you may have.

Steve and his crew were great. I had my roof replaced at our home in Rancho Palos Verdes. They were on budget and finished within 3 days as promised. I have been recommending Accurate Roofing Solutions to clients in my real estate practice for a while now and finally had the opportunity to work with Steve and his crew for a roof replacement at our own home. To complete our due diligence, we had other roofers bid as well as Accurate. It became evident to us that any reputable company would be so busy and would not be able to begin work for 2-3 months after retaining them. Accurate was busy and couldn't start until early December. However, in our initial meeting with Steve, he fully explained the process and bid a reasonable price for the replacement. In our experience, Accurate Roofing Solutions charges reasonable prices for good work, though the real value is in the fact that you can actually get a hold of them when you need to, they communicate very well, and show up on time or even early.

Steve was very thorough and appeared to take good care of his crew. They were prompt clean and efficient. The place was clean when they left. Since the roof was installed Hurricane Hillary came through dumping heavy tropical rainfall and no leaks occurred. This leaves me confident for the El Niño ahead. We highly recommend Accurate Roofing!
