I hired ACCI roofing and can't say enough good things about them. I called the owner Larry and said ""I'm having a difficult time picking out the tiles, as I am going to have to live with it for the rest of my life"" He said ""No problem, let me take you around and you can look at roofs and it will help you decide"" Boy was he right!! I also want to say that the workers are so polite. Everyday they cleaned up after work. They even went as far as walking the property with a metal detector to make sure no nails were left behind. Well I have to add that my neighbor and I are sorta in contest with each other as far a remodeling our houses. My roof is nicer!!! In fact, my roof is the nicest on the block. Thanks ACCI roofing!! Highly recommend!!

All I can say is, I hope we were the extreme exception regarding our roofing experience with this company. Our General Contractor (GC) sourced/hired ACCI to install a new torch down (modified bitumen) for our extensive remodel in La Jolla. Not even a month after install (around Dec 2017), we had a light rain and the roof failed, leaking into our home. Had I not discovered the leak (about 1am) and put a large plastic storage bin under dripping water, we would have add even more water damage.
By the time GC and ""Larry Jr."" from ACCI Roofing Services came out to inspect, we still had ponding water that not only lasted well after 48 hours, even 6-7 days! GAF, the manufacturer of the material used, will void their warranty with any ponding after 48 hours.
Having already looked up the CSLB Contractor codes, I knew that a minimum slope should have been provided (1/4:12) we the roof was installed- even the rep from GAF that Larry Jr had me contact verified that - it's the roofer and/or GC's duty to build to code!
However, when I point blank asked both GC and Larry Jr. about this they both had nothing to say/answer. Rather they both went to rambling off unacceptable 'band aid' options. We then had a friend that is the President of a large commercial roofing company in LA take a look. He couldn't believe what he saw.
In addition to a failed roof, they didn't use the right drip edge material being so close to the ocean, they didn't heat up the material enough nor provide proper 'bleed out' at seams and failed to use the correct sealant at the perimeter. The entire roof needed to be replaced.
It wasn't until we hired an expert consultant who confirmed the previous assessment that we finally got the money paid for the worthless roof. However, we did not get reimbursed the cost to remove it (yet!). We received several new bids from reputable roof companies and every single one of them noted the subpar job we were given. There were so many issues and things done incorrectly that some were downright angry that a colleague would tarnish their industry so blatantly.
In any event, we lost four and a half months of work/progress due to Larry Jr and GC not manning up and admitting their blunder back in December. The stucco cannot go on until the roof is done. Time is money and ACCI Roofing Services had certainly cost us a lot of both, not to mention stress.
I cannot nor will not recommend this company because they tried to pass this roof off. In hindsight I am very thankful for that light rain and initial leak - had it not happened we would have completed the remodel by now and Larry Jr. and our money would have been long gone and GAF would not warranty their product due to improper installation (ie not even to code!!!)
