Great job at a fair price. We installed a new asphalt shingle 40 year roof and half round gutters and downspouts on an 80 year old house. Rick met with us to discuss product options and code requirements. We were impressed because he was the only roofer we talked to who mentioned getting a city permit and explained the changes in ventilation codes since we had our last roof installed, 30 years ago. After they started the job, the weather changed and we were very worried about having an exposed roof in the rain - The company organized its crew to work on Saturday, and did everything they could to complete the job with good workmanship and still beat the big rainstorm...and finished about an hour before the rain started. Cleaned up the site and took good care with landscaping. They did a great job at a fair price and we could not be more satisfied.
Above All Roofing came to our house on a Saturday 6/8/19 to provide an estimate for a new roof. We accepted and paid a deposit of $960 to start the process. The estimator told us that we had 3 business days to change our mind. On Monday 6/10 we changed our mind and contacted them 1st thing to let them know. We were told that they would issue us a check for the return of our deposit in the amount of $960 on Friday 6/14 as they only write checks on Fridays. They told me that they mailed our check on 6/17. After many calls, emails and texts today is 7/4/19 and we still have not received our deposit back. They keep telling me that snail mail could take up to 14 days to travel 30 miles??? It has now been 24 days since we cancelled and they acknowledged our cancellation.
I asked if they could stop payment and reissue a check which I would have been happy to pick up and was told no as they would only issue a new check if the original check was returned to them or cashed. What if I never received it???

We are still waiting for the return of our deposit. I spoke with Desiree last week and she told that the check was returned to them as their bookkeeper put the wrong city for our address. I offered to come pick up the check which she said no but that their bookkeeper would resend the check to the proper address. We are still waiting and they do not answer their phone.
Ron P.Called a few companies for an estimate for a re-roof job estimate around November 2017 due to our roof is over 25 years old and we are in the market for putting solar on our roof. Ken came over and gave the best estimate and the right price for our budget. Although they were really busy as the start of the rainy season was closely approaching Ken mentioned that they won't be able to start the job until 2018, and to my surprise Ken called and said there was an opening early December and that the job would be completed before I was set to leave for the holidays.
Ken and his team did a fantastic job and completed the job in a timely manner. Everyday while they were working on my roof they came in the morning before 9 am and worked throughout the day and left when the day was done. When they completed the job they cleaned up every thing, and when there was a problem Ken was over to over see the problem and had his workers go over the problem. Ken was always checking up on his workers and on me to see how everything is going which is good communications on Ken's part. We are very happy with the job they completed. They fixed everything that was leaking with our roof and we liked the job they did on our re-roof. I would definitely call on them again if I ever have to do a re-roof, we are pleased with the work they did and they left our property spotless and clean when they were done.
Thank you Ken and your team for doing an awesome our our roof.
Around 2012 Above All Roofing Solutions reroofed a property I own. Liaison Ken A. seemed very service oriented. I paid extra for a higher quality --more durable-- and a 20 year warranty. Unfortunately --according to a new roofer-- though AboveAll did a good roof job, it did not account for ventilation needs. Reportedly, as a result, soon after the new roof was in place moisture (from cooking and living activities) started to become trapped. Recently AboveAll refused to patch the roof as part of the warranty. I tried to enforce my 20 year guarantee but AboveAll refused on the grounds that there has been other activity around the roof. In particular, AboveAll cited a cable by Comcast which was cast above the roof and fastened improperly or unprofessionally. I tried to commission a forensic investigation but unfortunately a new roofer who jumped in only later cited some conflict of interest or work ties with AboveAll. So far the new roofer refused to provide me with a clear report as I had asked at the beginning. The new roofer refused to clarify but seems to mumble that the ventilation design problem (rather than the cable) caused damage.
AboveAll did not take properly into account the original post war track house design. Perhaps the 1940's build was not studied for optimal air exchange. Based on foggy reporting, most likely the roof needed vents.
Overall AboveAll struck me as otherwise potentially very capable, service oriented and professional. Ken A. kindly re-checked the roof several times at first. He implied that everything (including moisture) was OK.
The major warranty exception or flaw cited above mars all that. I am told by another construction expert that the roofer should have known better. Ken apparently sold me the wrong version (of an otherwise seemingly superior roof) -- one lacking the simple vents needed. Andrew S. (the Op. Mngr.) nailed down the co's unethical mode, citing apparently pretextual ""circumstances"" in declaring ""the warranty is now null and void""
Just had my roof replaced and they did a fantastic job....fair price and their crew was nothing less than professional.Timely work and did a great job cleaning up afterword. Ken and his team were great to deal with
Evelyn H.I reached out to several roofing contracters late last week to get an opinion on whether or not we might have a roof leak right at our bedroom window or if it was an issue with the window itself. We were concerned about rain that seeped into the top of the window during the last rain & wanted to make sure we got things properly checked out before storm season. Andrew was the first to respond: he was incredibly prompt in his response, sending a note right away & offered to come out & take a look. We scheduled time this afternoon for him to come to the house, but he had a conflict that surfaced, so he called & left me a voice message to reschedule for later today & also followed up via email. We rescheduled & eventually met up, he busted out his ladder to go up & take a look at the problem window (which happened to be on the second floor), & determined that the roof looked fine & it was most likely the window frame that needed resealing. I greatly appreciated his fantastic communication & honest opinion vs. trying to get me to sign up for a while new roof or even roof repair when I didn't need one. Super-nice guy & I will most definitely be calling him when the time comes to bite the bullet & get our roof replaced.
I requested a quote via the webpage. Soon thereafter I get a phone call and the person
I spoke to told me he would go out there on Tuesday. Silence. A few days pass and I am calling
them up ask about what happened to the quote. Nobody picks up and I leave a message. Silence thereafter.....""Above All""? nahhh...
If you are looking for someone to clean your roof debris for $1000+, you found the place. The only good thing I found here is that the estimator came on time the first time. I had a leak several places, some areas where there were leaves and some area clean. They cleaned the leaves and put some sealant where they have nails around the exhaust tubes on the roof and that was it, nothing to fix about the leak. The leaks were not in those exhaust tubes. Even if we say that is probably the case, the other places where there was no leaves to begin with, did not need any sealing according to the supervisor. His reason was, three or four of the leaves from the tree can block the water and create the leak. He did not want to believe that there was no debris in that area. According to him, there is no need to fix the leak as long as there is no leaves there. On the top of that he was angry that I asked him if there is any thing he can do to seal the leak area. This whole process took over three months. Not a good experience.
Sally L.The day we purchased our home we arranged for Above All to inspect roof and to give us a bid. The very next afternoon Rick met with us having already inspected the roof, gave us a good roof education, presented various choices for roof and so forth, plus presented the companies bid.
The company immediately started the job, even tho it was over Thanksgiving. We received three or four calls from Rick to keep us up to date on all the progress. The only negative was an additional $3,000 unexpected cost for insulation apparently required by the City of Pleasanton, which the company apparently was not aware of until the Pleasanton inspector made his mid-construction roof job visit..
We chose Above All Roofing Solutions from three quotes we collected. The first roofing company we contacted came to assess the job without our knowing it, sent us a quote, and we never heard from them again. Very impersonal. The second company sent someone to assess the job while we were at home. They also sent a quote, but didn't follow up. Then Ken Armstrong came to do the assessment from Above All Roofing Solutions. His quote not only included the costs and materials involved, but also a list of roofing terms and what they referred to. We appreciated the thoroughness of his explanations and advice. And he followed up. Our roof was completed in two days. It is a superior job in that the job included the addition of vents into the attic all around the house which allows more ventilation and air flow through the attic, gutters that happen to match perfectly the color of our house, and replacement of the decaying wood on our porch roof. The crew cleaned up the property both days that they were here. This is our first roofing experience, and we are very pleased.
