Saw flyer, called made appt. 2 weeks in advanced
Spoke to ""Wendy"" who was very nice and professional. Wanted BOTH homeowners 2 be present 4 the estimate. I had stated that since they couldnt come out on Sat. It was going to be difficult 2 get both of us the same day but we made it work. The day be4 the appt. I received a call from Nice Wendy that they wanted 2 reschedule 4 the following week. After i insisted that it would not do, she kept my existing appointment but then changed the time. The day came and i was called again to change the time. That time changed again and i was told he was running late!!! The ONLY thing that did not change was how nice Wendy was. Unfortunately, this was a GIANT red flag 4 us and is very telling about this company's time mangement and meeting deadlines. I made the effort to ensure we were available but it was not reciprocated. I told ""Nice Wendy"" that this was very telling and cancelled. As far as workmanship i didnt get that far...but my logical tells me...RED FLAG...

Contacted ABI from a flyer, and they came out to give us an inspection and estimate. They were super eager to get the contract signed and this roofing project started, and quoted us that it would be completed mid-April.
It has been a full month now and we still have not heard from them about a start date, nor a reason why. Very disappointed so far.


UPDATE- well, after this post, the roof project was finally started and finished within about a week and a half. Overall the experience was okay. We got a roof, that was the goal. But as for communication and follow up, I'm still disappointed. No one even came to look at the roof once it was done. It looks nice though, from what i can see. Don't know if I would recommend them to friends or family.

My house is 74 years old and the re-roof project was long overdue. AJ and Jack helped me to understand the value of upgrading the underlayment and removing the excess layers of shingles that were obstructing proper ventilation of my attic and living spaces. Moisture was visibly collecting on the joists and structural beams beneath the sheathing where eventually, I might have had to do a much more costly re-deck instead. I'm thrilled with how smoothly everything went, as well as how beautiful my new ""cool roof"" turned out. ABI is not the least expensive roofers out there, but their team absolutely gives 100% and delivers on their promises. I am glad I selected this company! A 50-year warranty on materials and 10-year service guarantee will provide my family with the peace of mind required to enjoy our home and an elevated quality of life for many years to come!!! This company really did a terrific job! Daniel and Brian made sure everything was completed to the companies specifications and what they promised. The work crews arrived on time and were great in all phases of the job. The clean up was done perfectly. We are very happy we had ABI Construction as a contractor. If you need a roof replaced this is the company to use!!!

I hired Abi Construction after going on yelp and seeing the reviews I did like Daniel and Brian's review so I called specially for them. They came on time and had materials to show which the other roofers did not. They were one of the only ones who actually didn't just check the attic but actually got inside and went all the way to take pictures to show my husband and I. I highly recommend them as they have fair prices and great value. I hired Daniel and Brian for my other projects of home as they are now doing the painting on my exterior and can't wait for the final result. They have great knowledge and expertise is this business and they come very clean and professional. I have owned 5 homes in 63 years and dealt with many contractors but these boys really brought joy to me while getting my work done.

OVER PRICED! Responded to a mailer sent by ABI construction. Two salesman came to my house, They never went on the roof and just peaked through the attic crawlspace. He shined his light on a piece of wood and wanted me to see it. Neither of us actually went into the attic. It's a typical mechanic ploy. They put your car up on the racks take your wheels and brakes apart, then have you come over and say ""look at this"", hoping you don't know what you're looking at, and then they tell you you're gonna need all sorts of work done and then hit you with a high priced bill. As I said, no one went into the attic or onto the roof. When I asked them about going on the roof, their response was ""we have a satellite picture of it and we can see it from that"". i've been around for quite some time and I know BS when I see and hear it! Other companies have come out, checked my roof out and then told me what they thought was wrong and what was needed. They gave me estimates of what it would cost, including materials and labor! Also, usually the person that came was someone who was going to oversee the project. I see the owner of ABI construction calls them project managers, but they're nothing more than salesman. They come with a sales pitch that'll take about 30 minutes before they hit you with a ridiculous offer. It's the typical sales game, it's called building value. But the only way to truly build value is to address the customers concerns first! Several years ago I had another roofing company come out because my roof was leaking. We had heavy Santa Ana winds that blew off a number of shingles. They were very busy and I could not get an appointment for approximately three weeks . He showed up on the day he said he would and when he came, he immediately went up on my roof and took a look at it. Not only was he prompt and on time, but he told me that the roof over the main portion of the house was in decent shape and did not need to be replaced at that time. However, he stated that it was getting old and eventually would need to be replaced. He also told me that the leak was over the addition. He gave me a price , the price did not change! I thought it was a fair price and they did the work. Not only that it came with a 10 year warranty. Years later, my roof began to leak again. I called that same company who came out, went on the roof, checked their work and told me that that portion was still good but now it was the main roof that needed work. I decided to get other opinions and that's where I'm at now. ABI construction wanted to charge me $40,000 for a $20,000 job. Also, when I ask them about the warranty, they danced around the answer and said that another company would be responsible for that. Basically the company that they would get the shingles from I imagine--another red flag from ABI. The sales people told me that The person who would be in charge of the project would come by and take a look at the roof AFTER we came to an agreement! I guess I must look stupid. They brought some little trinkets, a piece of roofing material and a roof vent that they said they were going to install on my roof trying to try to impress me, I was not impressed. I should've known something when the two of them came in passenger cars and not work trucks. I Would never use them. I see the owner posted something saying that he was trying to contact me and was apologetic but he could not find my information. Another red flag and sign of incompetence. To the owner, why would I spend any more time with you and your company?! if you're reading this, you had your shot, you took your shot, and you missed! Stop whining like a little child. Geeze!

I called over ABI CONSTRUCTION for a roofing quote. I had the pleasure to meet with Daniel & Brian as I requested them off Google after seeing their reviews with the company. They are by far the most professional young mem I have ever worked with. I usually have my handyman Dennis help me out but this wasn't a project for him. These boys explained everything to my wife and I am took their time as my English is not so good. I will be doing my future projects with them and I will recommend them to all my friends and family. Abi Construction is fair and eell priced for what you are getting. I had 4 quotes they were the highest but most reasonable with what they are offering and knowledge. Thank you Daniel & Brian!!! I can't wait for my 50 year Ownes Corning roof.

We had our roof replaced by ABI and from beginning to finish things went on smoothly. From our Project Managers Eddy and Hao, to Field Supervisors, every employee we met are very friendly, respectful, professional and excel in performing their jobs. They all want to make sure the project is going well, no issues and questions answered. The presence of employees both during and upon completion was very much felt. Several neighbors have asked for Eddy and Hao's contact information as many of them saw the work they performed. We are very happy and satisfied with their work, communication and commitment to excel. I have no reservations in recommending this company. Thank you ABI for a job well done!
