This company is the absolute worst. The guy Tommy J Gant is a complete fraud, I paid him $500 dollars to fix what I thought was a leak coming from my roof, and he never fixed it he simply ran off with my money. I'm devastated he even threatened to bring my physical harm

Tom responded quickly to my inquiry on Nextdoor, where I was looking for someone to replace the corner boards on my chimney. He asked for 50%, which I gave him. Less than 24 hours later, he asked for $200. More, claiming prices skyrocketed overnight. whe I told him no, he claimed to have spoken to the manager who gave him a price break.

Two days later, after ignoring my request to cover my chim because of a predicted rainstorm, he never showed up or called. I found someone else to finish the job, but was convinced to call him and find out what happened.

he claimed he had COVID (but did think it was important enough to call me). I felt I needed to give him a chance to finish the job after hearing he had COVID. BIG MISTAKE. He walked off the very next week. I found out he used tar paper on my home, instead of the VAPOR BARRIER noted on the contract. This guy is unprofessional, switches materials and will threaten to put a lien on your property even tho HE'S IN THE WRONG

i was awarded a judgement of $1824 against tommy gant dba a-1 roofing. i live out of town. in an emergency situation he was to install bitumen roofing, charged me for it, but installed, non-color matching, roll out roofing. after i complained left me voice mail stating that ""you get what you get"", your roof doesn't leak and if you call me again, i'll have you talk to my attorney. i gave him a chance to mediate, and he refused to settle. i can't even give him 1 star.
