After all those storms hit the Dallas area, I had an area of roof I was concerned about. A1 Roofing came out the day after I called, and James Young quickly found the problem and fixed it. Then he walked ALL over my roof looking at everything/lots of times up close and personal! When he descended he declared my roof in excellent shape, and even complimented whoever had done the roofing. (I had recently bought the house, so didn't know who). I was very impressed with his expertise and his thorough inspection of my roof. And you cannot even tell where he repaired it!! And the price was quite reasonable! I strongly recommend this company-- and will use them in the future, should the need arise!!

James was recommended by a friend and came by the day we spoke, since he had a project nearby. He was delightful and fixed the leaky in our roof immediately. He did not pretend it was a big problem and did not try to up-charge the project. I will use them again if I have a roofing issue and I will refer A1 Roofing to anyone who needs repairs. I thought this was going to be an excellent company after the hail storm completely messed up my home on June 2nd, but apparently I was wrong. Sadly, I signed a contract or I would be DONE with them. It took weeks just to see flooring samples. Then, we had to help the flooring crew move our furniture to put in carpet. Today they came back to do our laminate flooring in our kitchen...they said it was ""done"" and hadn't even bothered changing the flooring behind the stove or refrigerator. They just left it there and told us it was finished like we wouldn't look. Like I can't tell the difference between cherry wood and oak! Things that were approved in June like my front door have still not been touched. This is the MOST FRUSTRATING process I have ever lived through.

Update: So, after this review the owner finally came out and said that they were going to fix things and communicate better. The windows finally got put in and so did the front door...then NOTHING for 3 months. We were told our insurance was difficult to negotiate with, but they negotiated with us perfectly fine on everything that was NOT related to construction even giving extra funds for some small things. Then, I found out that A-1 had submitted an invoice to the insurance to CLOSE OUT the claim. They told my insurance EVERYTHING was fixed. So why do I still have 2 rusty beat and battered sheds, beat and battered gutters, outside not repainted, inside not repainted, and some other issues?

A1 was great to work with from start to finish. I had never replaced a roof before this storm and I was unaware of the claim process. After a couple of major hail storms last Spring, James and his team were able to walk me through the entire process and help me work with my insurance company to ensure I was able to get everything damaged in the storm (roof, gutters, fence, etc) filed in the claim and repaired in a very quick time-frame. I was impressed by the attention to detail and workmanship of his team to make my roof look better than before. I highly recommend A1 to anyone looking to replace a roof.

These guys will NOT STOP calling me. I am on the Do NOT Call List.

After every freaking hail storm, I get: ""Hi sir, we will be in your neighborhood next week to do free inspections of your roof due to recent weather...""

REALLY? IF my roof was damaged, I would go through my INSURANCE COMPANY and they would tell me which roofers they recommend.

PLEASE, for the LOVE OF GOD, STOP FREAKING CALLING ME!!!

Next stop, the Attorney General of Texas.

We were hit hard in 2016 with back to back hail storms about 10 days apart. James and his crew did a great job at replacing my roof. I had some things I wanted that weren't in my original roof. James made sure that what I wanted was in the quote, not just wanting to know what the insurance would pay, and then made sure it was done to my complete satisfaction. If I had a question it was addressed quickly. All the work was done as promised. We have gone almost a year with no problems and no return service work. Done right the first time! Thanks James!
