I am blown away by the customer service Joe gave me. He went out of his way to make it easy for me to exchange a skylight when I thought I knew what I was ordering and had to exchange it. Joe made me feel like I was dealing with a local general store in a small town a century ago. Trust, honesty, and in depth knowledge besides being a pleasure and fun guy to deal with. Go Joe!

I was referred to A-Z by the roofer who was going to install skylights into my new roof.

I was exceedingly pleased by the owner Joe and his son. They promptly found the two different skylights I needed in their inventory, and loaded them into my truck.

When I went to pay, I found that they only took cash or checks. I didn't have enough cash and I did not have my checkbook with me.

Their solution: Take the skylights with you, here's a bill, mail us a check later.

I'm 64 years old and remember that maybe in the 1960's someone might, just might, trust a customer with $1100 of merchandise. But certainly not in the last four decades. (When I went home I made out the check and drove to the post office to immediately mail. Trust deserves equal diligence on my part!)

A-Z is a family-owned and operated business. As you can see, entirely trustworthy. I would personally not pay much attention to someone who says they found them otherwise...

I returned just several weeks ago to buy another skylight for my son's roof. I brought my checkbook!

The owner has treated me unfairly and been extremely rude to me. He specifically yelled at me saying that: ""go and post it on Yelp"". So here you go.

I initially bought 4 solar tubes from them and the experience has been good. Both the owner Chris and his father Joe were friendly and helpful. And then at the time I handed the cash and was picking up the product and I found that one of the box has been opened and the package had that kind of distressed look. I asked Joe if this is new and he said yes. I said OK cause I trust these guys.

The next day when I met the contractors and start to open the packages but found that the plastic films had been peeled off on both of the tube segments in the opened box solar tube. What's worse is that there are scratches and residues on the inside. I immediately felt that this one should be a returned item. I called up Joe and told him the fact. He said OK that I can get a replacement. Alright I made a trip to the store and the whole nightmare started.

Joe grabbed a brand new segment of the solar tube and tried to convince me that there is no difference of how much light would go in between a new one and the one has scratches and residues. I said I understand that but I am not convinced that you sold me a returned item but told me it was brand new. The he grabbed his son and his son started to insult me, saying that I was being unreasonable blablabla. And yelled at my face ""this is what you will get. Don't get me pissed"".

Come on man! Who was being unreasonable? It was you guys that gave me a returned product with wears already on it. You didn't offer any apology but insult me on my face. If this is the way you treat your customer, I hope I shouldn't have ever come to your store.

My suggestion is that avoid this place and just stick with Homedepot or Lowe's and buy stuff there. At least you will not have any one insult you and end up with new products which have wears on them.

I am a roofing contractor based out of San Jose. I've been using a-z for my skylight needs for years and couldn't be happier. They always have all the standard sizes in stock and also build custom sizes as needed. The customer service is great, which is a big deal in this industry. I would recommend these guys to any homeowner or contractor in need of skylights!

I am extremely happy with A-Z Windows. Rick Silva was referred to me by a friend who recently built their home and windows were supplied by A-Z.

Even though they came to me by personal referral, I like to get 3 quotes on everything. So I had 2 other well known companies come out to quote as well. I insisted on Milgard Windows, but one company pushed another MFR on me and the other company told me Milgard delivery lead times were out 8-10 weeks. Crazy. Rick with A-Z came out and went through the MFR options, style options etc. In the end, I still insisted on Milgard so he wrote up a quote for Milgard. Delivery time was 3 weeks! Pricing was right in line with the other quotes, if not slightly lower. He got me the windows I wanted, in less than half the delivery time the other distributors quoted. I was pretty pleased with this.

Bottom line: pricing is competitive, delivery was on time (exactly to the day) and my Milgard windows are beautiful!!

Chris just replaced my skylight. Don't go anywhere else if you need a skylight replaced!!! I couldn't be happier. It is beautiful, and the whole job was done amazingly quickly and professionally. Chris was very respectful of my time, and took the time to update me and keep me in the loop about everything pertinent related to the job, as my skylight was a large, custom size. I wish all home remodeling could be this easy! Thank you, Chris and A-Z!!

We had very old skylights that we have been wanting to replace. Called A-Z discount windows. Joe had someone to come and look at it, provided quote and replaced those with Low-E units on the same day. Awesome service.

Joe is as knowledgeable as it gets, and is incredibly helpful. We have probably purchased hundreds of skylights from a to z and he always has excellent knowledge about the products he sells. Their prices are very competitive, they are all stocked, and the service is great. Try them first, and you won't be disappointed.
