I needed a repair done on my roof asap with all the rainy weather we've been having. I've had it repaired before but it's always been a quick fix. In the past, I've had issues getting other companies to pick up the phone let alone show up for appointments. Mark picked up right away, told me he could come by for an estimate and the work was scheduled the same week. I communicated when I was able to be paid again and they assured me that they would work with me and I could pay when I was able. Overall, great service and would recommend! Thank you!!

We had a stubborn roof leak that would start dripping inside the house from a window as well as a gutter overflow problem in the front that was destroying our stucco. Mark had to come out twice and try a couple things to finally nail the leak but he stuck with it, put significant time and effort into it and got the job done! The second time he came they had to leave after a couple hours to procure extra materials but they came back the same day and kept at it. The font flashing issue was a quick fix for Mark. My wife and I appreciate the hard work and are very happy to have our living room back leak free!!! A+ job! Another A+ for not giving up on a very non-obvious leak problem!

I normally don't write such long Yelp reviews but my dealings with Mark Braithwaite of A to Z Roofing were so positive I feel compelled to write this.

I manage multiple properties and have worked with many contractors over the years. When I meet someone who provides exceptional service I feel the need to share my thoughts...

Mark came out to our home in Buellton to repair a roof leak and fix some broken rain gutters. He was prompt and courteous and the price was very fair. I would definitely call A to Z Roofing for any future roofing or rain gutter issues.

As a side note, it is also worth mentioning he is licensed and fully insured. This is so important when hiring a contractor, especially a roofer because of the potential risk of injury.

You may get a cheaper quote from an unlicensed roofer (because they are probably not paying for Workers Comp Insurance) but you will be on the hook for medical bills and lost wages if one of the workers falls off your roof. Totally not worth the risk, especially if you are a homeowner.

I am very satisfied with the price and service of A to Z Roofing!

We just hired Mark and his crew to replace our old roof at our house and the quality of work and professionalism that went into it were absolutely top notch! They diligently kept all the driveway areas and back patio areas free of debris and nails! They even blew the driveway off when they were finished! Mark was very transparent about the whole process and answered all our questions and concerns. Needless to say the job was done in 2 days the roof looks amazing and Mark is a great guy and his crew were great as well! Family owned and operated small business that you can see the results! They do amazing work at a reasonable price! We highly recommend A to Z roofing to everyone if you want the job done right and have a new quality roof. Thanks again to Mark and his crew much appreciated!

This review is not about quality of work or price, but rather business practices.

This occurred on 9/26/2019:

Myself and my entire family and most of the staff at the hotel we were staying at in Solvang witnessed a bald man with sunglasses (I assume the foreman or owner) berate, talk down to, harass, and yell at his own employees loudly in public in front of guests at a hotel where he had been contracted to work for hours and hours. His display that he put on for the benefit of his own ego and maybe to impress the guys on his crew, was extremely unprofessional and shows a complete lack of basic skills necessary to be in a position of authority over employees. This guy might be a great roofer. Who knows? Really doesn't matter if the attitude of the guy on the job destroys all credibility of his ability to control himself anymore than a three year old child. I just really feel sorry for the guys who have to take this abuse for the needs of a paycheck. No person should ever be publicly berated, harassed, or disrespected by their employer. Period. And this guy can see us watching him. After complaining to the hotel manager (a hotel owned by Chumash Casino), she assured me that they would never be using A to Z Roofing again in any capacity as it relates to Chumash Casino. She said they had received several complaints from other guests and that he was even rude to her personally when she asked him to delay starting work until 8am so as to limit disturbance to the guests.

If this is this guy ""Mark"", I would really reconsider before doing business with this company unless he's no longer involved, goes to some kind of anger management course, gets sued by one of his employees and just goes out of business, or it's an absolute emergency and no other roofers are available and you're okay with hiring a guy who treats his employees like dogs who owe him a favor.

I had a pleasant experience with Mark and his crew, they did a good job from start to finish, cleaned up all the nails and debris. The roof came out beautiful. Mark was professional and there to answer any questions I had. Appreciated their prompt arrival. Would defiantly recommend.

Highly recommended. Mark at A to Z roofing is a very no-nonsense, honest, and reasonable roofer. We recently had questions about our roof, and asked for another opinion from Mark. He responded very quickly to our request on Yelp. He gave us a bid that was 1/6th the other roofer's, partly because he has reasonable prices but mostly because he advised against fixing a *potential* issue that he said was unlikely to be a problem in reality and more likely to become a problem if we opened up the roof. That kind of honesty (turning down work he could have had) is worth a lot to me. In the process, he spent several calls explaining the issues to me and addressing my concerns. I plan to call him first for roofing work in the future. Highly recommended.

I called the owner, Mark for an estimate. He performed that duty adequately, but when I called to speak with him about the estimate and we completed our conversation he didn't realize I had not hung up the phone and began shouting at someone else in the room (I assume he was not talking to himself) about what a waste of time my potential business was for him. Needless to say, I went with another company.

The property management company I am currently renting a house through hired A to Z roofing to replace the entire roof. First, they showed up an entire week late without giving notice. Once they arrived, I received a loud banging on my front door at 7:30am. When I opened the door, the owner Mr. Mark Braithwaite, was standing on my front lawn screaming at me to move my cars from the driveway, saying the property management company should have informed me. I told him that I was not informed of that and that one of the cars is inoperable and the other is a stick shift, which I cannot drive. I offered to call my husband at work to come home to try to move them and he continued to scream at me to the point I began to cry. One of his workers was very kind and apologized to me on his behalf. The workers were all very nice people, but Mr. Braithwaite never apologized for the way he spoke to me or even acknowledged me while he worked on the roof. I have never been treated with such disrespect in my entire life. While the workers were very kind and did good work, I would not recommend this company to anyone due to the disgusting behavior of the owner.

Look elsewhere, they are not professional at all. I chose them because they were available to work on my roof fast. I found out why they were available the hard way. You might put one roof on your house the entire time you own it. It's too important an investment to risk having this company do it. Almost any company in Lompoc will probably do a better job.
