They don't call back and when they did I had been told that they are unable to do a 7/12 pitch roof with 11.75 squares. I had been told by the owners son their insurance won't cover their company to do roofs with a 7/12 pitch or more. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Bad business. Bad lies.

10/2018 Old Time Roofing installed a new roof at my former home in St. Petersburg, FL.
Although the job Passed the city inspection, the job Failed the VA inspection later that same day and then Failed the WDO (wood) inspection conducted the next week.

I gave a 4-star because the employees were really nice from the salesperson to the office team. When I complained that the job failed inspections, they apologized and did not hesitate to schedule an expedite for the rework to be done. The guy who spearheaded the rework onsite was extremely apologetic for the inconvenience.

General Warning to consumers:
I'm not sure what the city is responsible for inspecting when they inspect roofs, but be aware that there could still be problems that the average resident may not be able to identify. Needless to say, I was grateful for the two additional inspections.

During my search, I also learned that even though the shingles may have a 25-year or even a lifetime warranty, the roofing system begins to decline once water enters the system around the nails. That said, the shingles may still be in good condition with 5 years remaining, but once the roofing foundation has significant water damage, those 'good' shingles need to be ripped up to replace the entire roof. Bottom line, unless the nails can carry the same warranty as those shingles, the warranty promotion for shingles is simply a marketing ploy in my opinion.

I had a brand new roof installed recently by a different company and is now leaking and I'm being forced to go elsewhere. I called Old Time for an in-person appointment to help me decide to re-roof or try to repair the existing new roof. I explained that I live out of town and would need to travel for the appointment. I was given an appointment date/time and told that the person would call ahead to confirm arrival. Appointment day and time came and went and after 3 conversations with the office I finally got a call back from the person supposed to be meeting me there. He explained that he did not need to come out for an estimate. I explained that I had specifically asked for an in-person meeting and that it was a new roof that I was trying to decide wether to save or replace. He replied that repairs were handled by a different person and he would have them call me, that he would go ahead and send me a re-roof estimate based on the county tax records measurements and I agreed. It will be 4 weeks this Friday and I'm still waiting for the estimate and the phone call from the ""repair"" department. Waiting..... waiting.... yawn...

Company blasted music at starting at 9am, moved around all our plants and decor in the backyard and left it a mess when finished. Do not recommend.

I have lived in Florida from 1976 and I have never come across a roofing company that is as graceful and gracious and Old Time Roof. Joe in particular is an outstanding sales person I highly recommend him to anyone. I've worked with Joe on other properties I own.
Everyone in the office is very nice. Their prices were competitive. They say what they're going to do and they do what they say.
If I could give more than 5 Stars I would.

This is the first review I've ever written but I feel this company warrants one. Due to the time of year (rainy season) and the small nature of the work I was having difficulty finding a company who would do the small repairs. Time was a critical factor. I am pleased to say that Joe, Jeff and the team at Old Time Roofing really came through for me. I was not on site for the repairs so there was a trust factor involved. They were very professional and did exactly what they said they would. This customer was VERY satisfied!!

I was afraid recent damage to my roof would require an expensive roof replacement. This company treated me in an outstanding way from my first phone call to paying the bill. Jimmy recommended a repair after checking the entire roof for any other issues. He arrived right on time as did the repair man Chris. Its rare to find any contractors who respect your time and get to you right on the minute as scheduled. Chris took the time to explain what he was going to do to replace the damaged shingles and gave me confidence he wanted to do a lasting and excellent job. The women in the office were very friendly and I cant say enough about my experience. I have been in this area for thirty five years and this company far exceeded my expectations. They were recommended by a good friend for whom they did two jobs. My highest recommendation to anyone needing roofing.

A large oak tree collapsed on my Seminole home during the night that hurricane Irma came through the area. I contacted a Florida licensed contractor that I knew and he repaired the damage to the house. He told me that my roof needed immediate replacement (he does not do re-roofing) so based on the good reports from neighbors, I contacted Old Time Roofing. Their representative Jack showed up and even though I told him that a licensed contractor opined that I needed a new roof, he happily reported that my roof probably had a couple of more years of life. Although I have not used them yet - and I will when I have a new roof installed - they deserve a 5 star review for their honesty in a time when lot of people are being taken advantage of post hurricane Irma! I wish more people/businesses were like Jack and Old Time Roofing.
