Excellent customer service, work and clean up. I was dreading the task of finding a roofer during our recent rains. My roof was leaking and everyone I called was busy. A&J made time to come look, was very polite and informative. Provided a quote and was able to get me scheduled within a week. I asked for photos of the roof, and any damages they uncovered, which they provided. I returned home after the completion day to find a new roof and NO MESS! They swept and cleaned up after each day and before they left. I live in a very tight neighborhood with little to no parking or space between units. This has always been a challenge and having many contractors do work here before, this was a very pleasant experience. I will recommend them to everyone!

My roof had multiple leak areas for a while and it came to the time to fix it. I contacted several roofing companies and Jorge came the next day. He climbed up the roof and checked where the leaks, and suggested to redo the whole roof due to the bad condition. He provided an estimate quickly which was reasonable compared to others. Finally I decided to use them based on my observation and timely response from Jorge who answered my questions patiently and explained exactly what they would do to fix it. Right after I signed the contract, rainy season started. While my wife and I were worried about more leaks, Jorge and his dad Arturo were so thoughtful that they came and put a temporary plastic cover on our roof to prevent further damage with no charge and promised to start the project as soon as the rain stopped. They kept their words and started the project on time. The crew did an amazing job without cutting any corners, showed up on time every day and finished our project completely before moving on to the next project. They are such hard workers and very friendly people with lots of experiences. We were so glad we picked them because we know the new roof will last for a long time based on their quality work. So bad you probably only need to replace roof every 30 years, but I will definitely recommend them to all my friends for any future roof repair work! Great company and people to work with!

I initially contacted 8 different roofers using the Yelp Quote system to get an estimate. I needed to replace some fascia boards and repair a gutter that was falling down due to dry rot and termite damage. Since the termite problem was taken care of we needed to get some wood replaced and other areas repaired with Bondo (plastic wood filler) quickly as the rain was pulling the gutters down even more and it was quickly becoming a bigger problem.

I was hoping to wait until the spring as I figured all the roofers would be busy due to leaks from all the rain we were getting this winter but it got to the point where it was getting worse with each storm.

Five of the roofing companies responded in the Yelp message app that they needed to inspect the job to provide a quote. All of them requested my phone number to make an appointment.

Of the 5 companies that came to my home to inspect, one of them sent a salesperson who simply measured the ground and gave me a quote based on linear feet. Another roofer gave me a quote that was so far above everyone else's I figured he just didn't want the job. Two other roofers gave me fair bids but didn't even get on ladders to closely inspect what they needed to fix, they basically went on my word and what the termite report said, but they told me they couldn't get to me for 2 - 3 months.

Then Jorge from A & J said his father Arturo would be stopping by my house. Not only did he get up on the roof, but he also moved his ladder to each and every area that needed work to better understand what was happening on the roof and why some of the fascia boards were getting so wet and damaged.

He spent over an hour inspecting my roof (partly during drizzling rain) then took the time to walk me around to each area to explain exactly what was happening. He showed me several areas where the roof was not originally done properly during a remodel and that a valley area was not properly sealed and was actually damaging my stucco. The wood I thought was just a few holes was actually so rotted out that he was able to put his finger through the board. It was like sawdust covered with paint.

His estimate was very fair and in line with most of the others. He was the only one that showed me the issue with my valley and another small area that was completely missing the drip metal. And, they were the only ones that were able to squeeze my job in during other jobs only 2 weeks after my estimate. They even called or emailed every day to tell me if they were able to work each day when it was raining (can't be up a 15' ladder in the rain).

Not only did A & J fix all my facia boards, but they also found a board underneath several tiles that was completely rotted. If they didn't remove those tiles to fix my drip edge, other roofers wouldn't have caught it and it would have caused a leak in less than a few years.

There were even able to get drip metal under an area where I had solar without having to remove any panels. They were meticulous and professional. When they were finished, we noticed a stain on the stucco in a similar area after more rain and they came back to add some additional metal kicks and a splash guard to the end of our gutter in an area prone to dumping off the roof where it flooded. They fixed it all. They are now my go-to roofing company for anything I need. I will rehire them anytime I need something they can handle. Overall, a great experience.

This review is not based on any service performed by this company. I contacted this company to get a quote and I was planning on hiring them to replace some cracked tiles on my roof. Very nice and polite with whoever I was in communication with. A&J agreed to come by and check out the roof to get an exact number of tiles needed. He didn't come and didn't let me know he couldn't come either. I texted him and he said he didn't come because of the rain which was understandable and reasonable but he could of at least let me know. He agreed to come the next day which he failed to come again and no text or call!!. Maybe they aren't interested on such a small job but they can at least let the ""client"" know they are busy or not interested but not just let the person hanging for two days. Amazed by such lack of professionalism.
