We contacted A-1 Roofing for an estimate. Ralph, the owner, called back promptly, visited our location, and provided a competitive estimate which included completely removing the old roof, replacing facia boards, making any necessary roof repairs and using highest quality roofing materials available for our new roof. A-1 accommodated our schedule and began work when promised.
Our roof is complicated by a flat area covering a patio and a sky light on a roof cricket. Ralph has been in the roofing business 30+ years, we were glad to have the benefit of his experience and knowledge of roofing. The A-1 crew is professional and always left a clean, tidy worksite at the end of their work day. Roof and facia repairs passed inspection and the new roofing materials were stacked on the roof. We were very impressed with the industriousness with which A-1's crew applied the new roofing, especially because the work was done during a heat wave which cut short their work days. Work was completed on schedule and what we already knew was excellent workmanship passed the city's final inspection.
Ralph was most accommodating, customer satisfaction is his highest priority. Based on the very competent work they did for us, we won't hesitate to recommend A-1 Roofing to others. Most of all, we are very happy with our new roof, it really looks great!

We purchased a home in late October 2017 that was in desperate need of a new roof and fascia. My wife and I collected multiple bids, did our due diligence by checking online reviews and asking friends, work colleagues and clients of our sign company.

We tried to balance our choice between the best quote, the recommendations of contractors we trust who our business serves and who appeared to be the easiest to work with.

Ralph came out right away to inspect the roof, and prepared a written estimate that wasn't as deeply detailed or as slick as others, but his price was highly competitive and his estimated date of starting was months sooner than the much bigger firms we received quotes from.

We checked out his license and whether or not he had any complaints and went to a few reference houses he provided us with. They all looked great and the customers spoke very positively about his work and reliability. It was roughly a month and a half from the time we signed the contract and when he and his crew started and we knew from the first day we had made a good choice. After the tear off of the old roof, there was literally not a single scrap of old roof anywhere on our property. At the end of every day, he and his crew cleaned up the entire property to the point where we couldn't tell anyone had been there.

The day the shingles, underlayment, fascia boards, vents, etc. arrived, we were home to see the brand names and quality of materials being used. It was all the same quality as others had stated in their quotes, so we felt very comfortable knowing that his better pricing was based on him actually being part of the crew to do the work and not on skimping on materials some way.

Overall, our roof looks great, we feel it was done in accordance with all city codes and it passed its inspection with flying colors and no setbacks. Watching the rain fall off the new roof yesterday exactly where and how it should made me want to share our experience.

Flakey! Called him 3 times. Said he would do work requested then never did the work.
resulted in huge cave in on roof.
Never got back to me either! Would not trust!
