They arrived exactly when they said they would, did a thorough job, even repairing damaged vents, and finished quickly. They also were brilliant at matching our roof color to existing shingles on another part of our roof, so it all looks as if it were one. The crew did a wonderful job of cleaning up after themselves. No mess that we could see. We're very happy with their workmanship and would use Andy and his crew again!

After the recent rain & in the midst of the Covid crisis our roof started leaking. We called A-1 & spoke with Tiffany who kindly scheduled an estimate. We met with Andy who was prompt, polite & knowledgeable. He answered all my questions & provided a quote the next day (including pictures of the area of the roof to be repaired & materials to be used).Our roof repair was completed in one day with crew of 3-4 men who showed up on time, did great work & nicely cleaned up the work area.

So sad. A1 did installed a new roof on my building. Since the new installation, there has been leak after leak. We called them out for repairs that ended up costing as much as the new roof. After the last $4000 repair, I called in a new roofer who said the flashing wasn't primed on the installation. The owner said he was sick when our roof was installed but he could have fixed it in the numerous repairs he has done. There have been numerous water damages in the interior units costing $20k plus that we now have to seek damages for through the court. Please do not use this company.

My husband and I moved into our first home and were recommended to Chris by our real estate agent. Unfortunately we trusted in that recommendation and went in without doing our own research. Mistake #1. After the job was done and we paid out $20,000+ I started to notice some things. The job was done poorly. Without care or craftsmanship. Messy and slapped together. I realized my second mistake was not having Chris come to the house and do a run through with us to make sure everything was done right. Although you would think that a person that takes pride in what they do would have done that anyway. I wrote an email to Chris about my concerns, with pictures included. Never heard back from him. Poor business practice. I'd say run the other direction and do your research before hiring this company. Take a look at the pics and decide for yourself!

One of the worst experiences i have ever had with a company. They did our roof over 20 years ago. No issues no problem. Now that we need to have the roof replaced some how they can not replicate the work they did 20 years ago. It seems there skills are lacking at this point. When asked over the phone to go into detail on why they couldnt do the roof all i got was anger for questioning him and arrogance. All he kept saying was technology with no explanation of the technology or explanation on why they couldnt replicate the work they had already done. This company has become very vague in explanation. And seems to not care at all for returning customers. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

We worked with Andy at this A-1 to get a quote and repair of our flat roof. Andy is great and kept us inform on the progress of the repair. His crew was great. They kept the yard clean after each day. A-1 team gets the job completed at the promised date. We were happy to work A-1 team.

Great service and quality from this company. I saw their name and decided to give them a call. They had someone out the very next day to give me a quote. Andy came down and spent some time evaluating my roof and said he will get back to me same day. I had an estimate in my email box that same day with multiple plans within hours.

It was clear and direct with no fine print. He was available by text and email so we were in communication throughout the process. We were able to get a great deal on a great roof. His team showed up on time as promised and completed the job in less than a week. He let me know what was happening every step of the way.

As with any job like this - complications will arise and when they did Andy was right there to let me know what happened and what they were going to do to accommodate us. The roof looks great and we even
splurged for the rain gutters as well.

These guys have great customer service, accurate time frames and we got it at a very affordable price - I would recommend them to anyone looking to put a new roof on their castles.

After waiting a month for OTHER roofing companies to call back, I called A-1 All American Roofing. Alma and Johnny got a roofer out to inspect the day after I called them, and the repair done a few days later. Other companies I tried would only do FULL ROOFS, not repair a leak AND weren't available for a month... A-1 All American Roofing does it all, and they have a very modern office building too! For my leak repair they didn't even require a deposit! I was very happy with my overall experience with them.

Man do I wish I had read these reviews before calling them. I relied on a great experience with them about 20 years ago. Never again. the contact guy was friendly and positive. He SEEMED very service oriented. But they damaged my wall, left a mess in my back yard, and would not return to fix damage. i'm sure they have other loyal clients----and can do a decent job. My advice: IF you hire this outfit, nail down exact expectations and responsibilities for clean-up and any damages they may cause.

Our home is for sale and in a short escrow. The buyer's agent called in J&S Roofing from Torrance to inspect our tile roof. The next day the owner of J&S showed up and within minutes he claimed we needed $9500 in repairs (but the work would not be guaranteed). If we needed a guaranty he said we would have to replace the entire roof for $73,000!!! This information not only corrupted our $4.5 mil home sale it was an obvious ""shake down"" from an opportunist looking to score big.
Thankfully a friend recommended a professional company called A-1 Roofing in Carson. The agent showed up early the next morning and said the roof needed a few tiles replaced and nothing else. A-1 also mentioned the $73,000 estimate from J&S was about 35% higher than a normal.
Our home was built in 2004 and has never had any problems (nor has any other home in our 80 home development). Craig also took the time to call the buyers to assure them that disturbing the roof with repairs would be the cause of leaks and not recommended.
Later I did some researched and found J&S Roofing is a small operation that works out of an apartment building (Google maps) in Torrance.
We are so glad we found A-1 Roofing and Craig we appreciate the professionalism, honesty and integrity!!!
