I'm thrilled to write this review for 1stchoice Design and Development. Tony and his crew worked closely with my family to expand our first floor powder room into a full bathroom. From the initial visit to the final touches, the team provided excellent work within the budget and timeframe we discussed. As new homeowners, this was our first significant home renovation project, so we had a lot of questions and the team was always available to answer them, no matter how small or silly, and to help us find the right appliances, tiles, and décor for our budget. Our new bathroom is gorgeous - everyone in the family fights over it. And you'd never be able to tell it was expanded. Even the closet door that was moved to make more space looks like it had always opened from the other side. At some point, we wanted to add more tiling to the bathroom wall, which should have increased our costs from the initial estimate, but Tony threw it in free. That's what you can expect from 1st Choice - artistic and beautiful work, above and beyond customer care, and all within a reasonable budget and timeframe. We can't wait to work with them again on our next home renovation project.

Extremely reliable contractor. We had solar i stalled years ago and every time I reach out to Tony for a question on the system, he is extremely responsive. He takes customer service to a new level. Even when there was a power outage that caused an issue, he was responsive and helped get it fixed, even years later!

Do not trust this company. Tony Holder and his group are absolute thieves that will promise one thing and not deliver continually. We are almost one year into a project that they quoted would say take three months and we have no end date insight. Thieves thieves thieves do not trust them!!!!!

Had my roof replaced . The workers did a great job. I'm very happy with the work & great communication. Edward was very pleasant to talk to and I appreciate his quick response through phone calls and texts. I will definitely recommend to my family and friends.

I believe 1st Choice is likely a good company for solar projects, but I used them as a general contractor to build an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU or granny flat) and a carport. The project took over a year and I'm already fixing things that were not done right. The project was over budget, Edward Ha negotiated change orders with subcontractors before getting approval from me, and there was rarely more than one or two people working 33-53% of the available work days (yes, I calculated it minus the rainy days and this was before Covid). I covered cash flow problems for them, performed project management services to keep the job moving forward, reduced the scope of work and choose materials that were cheaper all because they told me they were loosing money on this job. Yes, there were problems with the architect, the gas and sewer lines, personnel and Covid. However, the job took twice as long because full time regular work was not happening even after overcoming those hurdles. Edward Ha blames Tony Holder and vice versa so no one accepts responsibility. I experienced unprofessional service, not to mention substandard work and had setbacks from numerous failed inspections. I hired an attorney to get the job to completion.

Just beware that they may not possess the experience level or ability needed on a project other than solar. I just can't recommend them as professionals or contractors. I believe every job has its problems but what I experienced with 1st Choice was beyond what can be tolerated, even after all concessions.

1st choice was very professional, and completed a roofing replacement for us with no issues, and a lot of support along the way. Their team kept us aware of everything that was going on, and was always available to answer any questions we had!

After a few months of research I decided to go with 1st choice mainly because of how easy I was able to understand their terms, timeline and financing. Anytime I had a last minute concern I was able to use my customer portal. SUPER USEFUL TOOL btw. Even tho I know nothing about remodeling I still never loss track of what was going on. Their staff is very polite, respectful of my home and kept everything clean like I asked. Going through a remodel sucks in general but working with them made the process a lot easier than what I was anticipating. I would definitely recommend them for any one who is new to remodeling/construction process.

This company has grossly misrepresented themselves! I have over $28,000 invested in this company and a incomplete kitchen and patio deck to show for it! Demo for for kitchen started Sept 3, 2018 and as of today Nov 27, 2018, it's still all studs and electrical wires hanging! Tony Holder will smooth talk you, but in reality he doesn't know jack about construction! Ed Ha is the actual General Contractor whom I gave $6,000 dollars to and my kitchen! I have been threatened by Tony Holder, slandered! I would seriously consider another company ! If u have any other questions, please feel free to contact me!
