Fantastic company!! Mike Johnson and his expert crews handled our renovation projects like they were working on their own homes. We are so very happy with the results.

His is a very professional team and, equally as important, very personable. A remodeling project is intrusive, no matter how you spin it. The work was done expertly and efficiently. Mike and his team made the process as bearable as possible. And every one of them are hard workers, often working into the early evening and on Saturdays to leave us in a good place until they returned to finish.

Out home was built in 1956. We had both of our bathrooms completely gutted and remodeled, as well as all new incoming and outgoing plumbing, which included the installation of a new soft water system and a tankless water heater. We also had the exterior of the house repainted, with trim, stucco, and roofing repairs/alterations. Mike had all the right people for the job!

This was our first time using a general contractor, and Mike ""held our hands"" through the whole process. He helped us pick out fixtures and materials for the bathrooms, making great suggestions for our projects all along the way, many of which we hadn't even thought of.

Of course there are going to be problems (unforeseen old plumbing breaks, black mold, cranky building inspectors). Fortunately we didn't have many, but Mike took the helm at resolving all of them as they came up.

Mike is easy going and great to talk to. And the pervasive Christian foundation is so refreshing, and speaks to the underlying honest work ethic we saw demonstrated everywhere. We read the Yelp reviews on Mike before we hired him and, frankly, we don't see any resemblance to the dedicated person we worked with now and the person these other reviewers were describing.

We hired Mike to remodel our bathrooms and replace carpets. Mike's employees worked Monday-Friday and sometimes even Saturday to get our project done on time. I really appreciated that Mike went shopping with us and helped design our beautiful new bathrooms. We did have a leak in one of the bathrooms, however Mike quickly scheduled his workers to come fix it. We are very happy with the finished product and would hire Mike and his team again in the future.

We want to update the reviews on this construction company because it is long overdue. Our family moved out for one month during Covid 19 to get our wall knocked out. Full kitchen remodel and master bath remodel. We had an electrical upgrade because our house only had 100 amp. Mike Johnson and his team worked really hard to get us back into the house with the least amount of disruption. His team has high work ethics. Nothing in house our was stolen. Every issue was taken care of with care. He brings you to reasonable vendors that have reasonable prices. They did an excellent job. Phots are of before, during, and after construction.

I needed a contractor that would do various tasks to help me sell my home. Mike was referred to me, and I could not have been more pleased with the quality of the work, the responsiveness to my questions, and the price. I was able to stay under budget, yet get some significant work done to my home that allowed me to sell it at top market value. Mike's style is very easy, and his communication skills are excellent - which I hear is unusual with contractors. I would highly recommend Mike and 12:24 Construction for any needs you would have to upgrade your home.

Too bad 0 stars can't be given. Like others he made an appointment and didn't show. Got a call from Kelly at the last minute rescheduling to today. When he didn't show I called his office and was told he was cancelling all city of Garden Grove contracts. Don't be fooled by Mikes nice guy act. Unprofessional

Just recently I had some work done with 1224 construction I was very pleased with the work the workers and with the amount i was charged, i feel i got a really good deal considering the work was for extensive and the work conditions not so good it was raining the whole time but the job was done in a timely manner. I would definitely call them again.

I wouldn't recommend this companies services to my worst enemy. Like many of the previous reviews, everything sounds great when you meet with this guy for the first time. The crews he hires out for the jobs are sub par, sloppy, and don't show up on time. Please stay away from this company and do it right the first time, his work will never be right and will end up costing you thousands in the long run to redo the terrible work.

I hired Mike Johnson's team at 12:24 construction almost 2 years ago to rebuild a shower, change out a window and sliding door, and replace some drywall that was damaged due to mold. My friend recommended Mike and said his team was thorough, hard working, and integrous, and fellow Christians. We hired them, and the work was going well enough that we actually recommended 12:24 construction to some friends of ours who needed some work done. We felt bad when our friends reported that they were not happy with the work Mike's team did, and they had to have them come and fix the wonky tilework they did. Oops.

The work on our bathrooms was going pretty well. The team was very pleasant, polite and punctual. Some of the work was a bit sloppy (paint splatters, grout stains up the wall, etc.) but they fixed those issues and it was fine. The last thing they needed to do was reorder and install a screen door that didn't quite fit into the sliding door they ordered. Mike asked me to write the final check and that he'd be back in a week or two once the screen door came in. You know how they say never write the check until everything is 100% done? There's a reason for that. It's been 2 YEARS and we still don't have a screen door. This is after multiple emails and phone calls over the span of 6 months to Mike directly. Our last conversation with him he was very apologetic, saying he couldn't believe they'd forgotten about our screen door. He promised he would reorder it and install it right away. Never heard from him again. We are really regretting putting our trust in Mike's word, writing his check against our better judgment. Not to mention when they put our shower in, they mixed up the hot and cold water. This is a total rookie move and a big inconvenience for us, not to mention unfixable unless we tear apart the shower again. We're going to let that go and deal with it when we sell the house, but are pretty upset about the screen door issue simply because Mike gave us his word that he would fix it. Turns out they took the money and ran.

I cannot recommend Mike Johnson and 12:24 construction. Based on my friends' and my experience, they definitely over-promise and under-deliver.

Poor work and very poor attitude by owner. Used this company to repair a balcony leak. Seemed great at the time of the estimate, however, work was done by crew and owner did not oversee the end result. Hard time getting him to come look at it. Changed appt. time without notifying us. Very insulting attitude to me when I tried to explain that it's not good practice to change an appointment time without notifying us first. Never did apologize to me. Was supposed to come and re-do the work, but changed the date last minute. We only found out because we called to see where they were. Will never use them again and would definitely not recommend. A simple apology to me from the owner would have gone a long way, and would have showed a more professional attitude.
