I asked 1-10 to add 2 sinks to a 10 year old house. They quoted $3100. I thought that seemed high. But, in their defense, I have not ever adding plumbing to a house. So I asked if that was the best price they could give me. They said yes. I told them that I needed to discuss this with my husband. We were both expecting about $1500 in cost. My husband agreed that since we were in a time crunch we would pay that. So the next day, I called back and accepted the quote and offer of service. We scheduled a day for them to do the work for later that week. The day before service, I got a text saying,"" Since there was a conflict with the price on the job, Dennis has decided to pass on doing the work. Thank you and have a nice day."" I called the office and no one answered my call. I left a voice mail asking if they would reconsider and still do the work. No return call. I texted back to the unknown number and asked the same. No response.
Needless to say, this put us in a bind. We were in a tight time frame with moving into a our new house with other contractors that I had already scheduled afterwards, such as sheet rock repair, electrical, and painting based on the date they gave me. This was unprofessional, and I would not recommend doing business with them. I suspect, but I don't know this for a fact, that they declined to do the work because I didn't use them for their other services that I never requested. I called them for a plumbing job, and Dennis (plumber) said I would really like Lisa (contractor) because she ""gets things done."" I explained that I already had a contractor and didn't need another one, but Dennis (plumber) said I would would really like her and should meet her and give her a chance to quote it with no obligations. As a favor to him and to be nice, I agreed to meet with Lisa. She was very nice and got me a quote back quickly, but they were all very high--much higher than the quotes I already had. So I decided against using them for the other services.
For example, they quoted $4625 to remove carpet and build up a small platform in our media room. Our other quote was $1236!!!
For painting our house, 1-10 construction quoted $18,324 plus the cost of sheet rock repairs for $1500, totaling almost $20,000 (no trim paint included). I got 2 other quotes for $11,500 which included the sheet rock repairs.
They quoted $995 to take out an end-cap wine rack from my island and add shoe mold. My husband took it out himself in less than 5 minutes.
I'm getting another plumbing quote, and I suspect it will be much lower than $3100. So, I guess they did me a favor by ""passing"" on my job. I'm just behind schedule now.
My advice is that if they quote you work, always get another quote or two to compare it to. Then, have a backup contractor just in case they change their mind about doing your job. And don't let them quote/bid on more than you need, because if you don't choose them, they may not do the original job you called them about.

Not a good experience. Under qualified project manager and owner. Was never shown roof shingles. Roof colors do not match catalogs. Unprofessional.

This was the easiest home project I think I've ever undertaken. After the hail storm we had a busted skylight, needed a complete roof replacement and even had damage to sheetrock on the inside of the home. Ronnie, Wes, and Mark were great to work with, explained everything in great detail and make certain everything was done correctly and that we were satisfied. Since they are a general contractor as well they were even able to take care of the sheetrock damage and interior painting. The installers, were polite, professional, and took great pride in their work. They did a job we are totally satisfied with, and they cleaned up so well, you wouldn't have known they had been here....except for seeing the beautiful new roof and ceiling. I would heartily recommend them. Thanks guys for making the whole process so easy from start to finish.

These guys are crooks. They write a very broad statement on their contracts for anyone with insurance repairs. They attempt to take make your insurance over pay and as soon as you receive the check they demand you turn over all the funds. They do their job only half way and seem to show no pride in what they do. They continuously throw in conversation that the company is owned by police officers so you won't question any of their actions. After the hail storm they blew us off on 3 diffrent occasions to tarp our roof (I ended up doing it myself) but as soon as the insurance adjuster came out they were quick to write a $800 bill for tarps and labor. Once work began they found more shingles on the roof than expected and stopped the job after tearing off some shingles. They also stole my tarps and made it very difficult to have the issue resolved. I would never recommend this company not even to my worst enemy.

I recently had hail damage at my home. I had a great experience with this company. Everyone was professional and honest. They were on time and saved me lots of money. Tiffany, called me back immediately and answered my questions. The work was done in a clean professional manner. I didn't see any roofing nails left behind and the work was done fast! I recommend them highly!
